Unexpected evening with a local in Johor 🇲🇾 | Johor Bahru. Malaysia Vlog 2023
We get to experience nightlife in Johor... If you're feeling this stuff, give us a sub - we hardly ever ask, but we have so many viewers who aren't subbed. It helps us keep track of things and keeps us doing it.
What's Johor life like? Full of Singaporeans or just locals? Is there a good food culture? Good drinking culture?
We find out with the help of a local BreakawayBites, check out more from his him at @BreakawayBites - you won't be disappointed.
Big ups, terima kasih semuaaa 🙏🏻

We are Pat & Giulia, a couple from 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇹 living in London.
We decided to go travelling and ended up living getting stuck in Malaysia during 2020 which spurred the creation of this channel, we're now back on the road after a lengthy hiatus!
We're Malaysian and Indonesian enthusiasts who enjoy discovering spots off the tourist trail and don’t like taking ourselves too seriously. We're not here to be vloggers or to be famous, we're not necessarily here to "inspire" anyone to travel either - just enjoy the spontaneous fun of it, weird situations and of course making local friends.

Big love

The vibe, the people, the food! 🇲🇾Hope you’re able to return soon!! 🙏🏻
Nice
I love your questions, Pat. You are just like me, always so curious and inquisitive. Bee Hoon, Mee Hoon, Popiah, Lumpia. Lumpia is a Filipino food actually. The idea is the same with Popiah but the taste does vary a bit. Popia is how the Malays usually spell Popiah, yet another twist to the original Fujianese Popiah as Popia is almost always deep-fried with potato filling (usually curry flavoured).
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.

I believe Popiah is from Fujian, China. You can find similar food there. Most of Malaysian Chinese origin from Fujian. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popiah
