If you think about it, every route is justified except for the neutral, where you kill someone to achieve nothing At least in the genocide you kill Flowey, freeing the underground from this endless loop, so it makes sense. Also, you would've died if you didn't kill everyone, so it's kinda self defense, even if no one except for Clover fully understands it. Neutral Is just a little of senseless violence, where you just caused pain to someone for no reason at all.

Whoever made Zenith Martlet's sprite art did a damn good job.

My first reaction to Genocide Martlet was "HOLY CRAP, IT'S ARTICUNO!"

I realized that the flashback in the boss fight and the PSA in the Ketsukane house suggests that Martlet got the determination syringe between when entries 5 and 6 were written in the true lab. This means that Flowey was created even more recently than you might think in relation to the events of Undertale Yellow.

in UTY, there's a diary inside the room of Dalv, in said diary, it reveals that it's been 1 year since the "one" who brought Corn to Dalv stopped showing up, we know Kanako was the one who was bringing Corn to Dalv and she fell down and stopped showing up since Alphys was calling up the fallen Down for the DT experiment, it's safe to say that when Kanako was sent to the lab, the monsters had yet not became an Amalgamates, otherwise she would've stopped receiving more fallen down monsters and Flowey was created around the time where the Experiment was still on going because she wanted a Vessel for the monster souls so this implies that Flowey was recently created 1 year before UTY, and in around that time, Flowey had already used his power to befriend everyone, kill everyone, read every dialogue and had received a *BAD TIME*

Not only did Clover get enough Determination to override Flowey's, but he also took Asgore's soul and escaped. Wow Edit: CAN WE PLEASE GET OFF THE TOPIC OF GENDERS! FFS, I wanted to post something I thought was cool, not start a gender debate.

Slightly? They polished every little imperfection Undertale had, and only managed to create one new scuff in how big the overworld sprites for the main 3 are. This is the prequel Toby should've made before working on Deltarune.

@@Waaz732 on my first geno run the fight was pretty hard, it was the first fangame I had ever played so it took me a couple of attempts, still not *too* hard though. (It had also been a while since I fought her, so I didn’t have her moves memorized)

Wanton murder aside, the ending did feel like proper justice, for Asgore’s’s crimes sort of an sheriff going outside the law to get real justice sort of ending.

@@kiwi5064 Can you really say that though? Imagine if the mayor of a random town killed a kid every few years because their son died. If one of his would be victims, took him out would that somehow be unacceptable? Sure there are mitigating circumstances on both sides that make the situation cloudy, but that doesn’t even come close to justifying Asgore especially on a neutral or pacifist perspective. I’m not saying that the murderer route is justified just that the one scene at the end is something that could be considered karma returning to the coward king.

​@@emeraldpichu1 The only thing I still don't understand, is why Clover needed to kill the machines in the steamworks? They don't even give EXP, which they need to smash Asgore into the ground. They aren't even conscious, for them to deserve "justice". Clover literally spared Mo, a monster that could give them EXP if they killed him, but they spared him, unlike those soulless automatons. There must be a reason for this besides "well, this is geno so you have to kill all of the enemies in the location lUL"

As Justice doesnt work like that and humans doesnt even deserve that at first place. how you can come and say asgore guilty (yeah he is) when literally humans are the reason of why monsters have been trapped in underground? asgore just did something what was important for his kingdom. What I like about this fight is the sheer fact that Clover is using only his soul of Justice. It would seem like his traditional form of attacking would have no effect. But his grudge and warped sense of justice (aka Vengeance) against monster kind (thanks to axis) have spiked to untold levels, its the only force strong enough to defeat the Zenith Martlet. No wonder Asgore, was an absolute pushover and incinerated.

Asgore 0.01s after he realized :

21:52 so that means if any of the other 5 humans decide to commit genocide to the underground, and get 20 LV, they become extremely powerful, and determined enough to kill asgore, heck even flowey and everyone? I mean just look at clover

While the genocide route in this game is INCREDIBLY flawed, gotta admit. These boss fights presented are pretty damn good. Makes Sans and Undyne the Undying kinda look like a joke lmao.

Why does the phase 2 theme have to go so hard

You can really see it in Asgore's face that he knew how this was gonna end. A king till the bitter end, tried to fight valiantly for his kingdom.

Martlet she is one of the few who truly believed that Clover could be good. The battle against Martlet is somewhat similar to the battle against Sans. This ending of the Genocide is cruel as in the original, but unlike the original, it does not have serious consequences after that.

This likely lead to Undyne crowning herself Empress and heavily militarizing the underground, which would be Frisk's problem.

Just beat her after two hours of attempts and damn, it really feels like the perfect end to a genocide. Sans tries to make you quit by using psychology. He tricks you, mocks you, but once you get the hang of it you start to see the patterns in his attacks. Here with martlet it’s just a constant barrage of shit thrown at you, she really doesn’t want you to win, and if you think about it it’s a clash between two different senses of justice, which really makes it fit even more!
