    Yeah, see, that [this] is my issue too: I’m spending more time rubbing my chin in contemplation than rubbing my chest & ribs in respiratory complications with this guy, ahaha. PS: not even American & only hit 30 and, from my own childhood that was somewhere “in between yesterday and today” (ie all these changes - born 1990, ya know~), between my own pops and mother, and urging myself climbing trees with my friends in my street and the streets next-door, (and my partnership of 10 years - slovenly as can be, I’ll admit, aha), he really hit the nail in the head on everything. Frankly: as much as I laughed, I reminisced much more-and I wondered ‘just as much’ about how different life is going to be for my future (yet-to-be) children and whether I’ll “wrap them up in styrofoam” or if I’ll instead be “criticised as a terrible guardian” or something - cos I want my kid to.... well, I don’t want them to have fractured bones or a crushed toe like I did, but I want them to ‘learn’. Scrapes, cuts, some bruises, playing with sticks, learning from the older kids and teaching the younger kids, playing board games, kicking a ball around, and even just ‘inventing dumb games to play’, ... if my kid ends up glued to a smartphone instead of ‘looking like a dickhead just to Rollerscate’, .... then I dunno if having a kid is even a good idea for them. All that stuff, it’s what makes life (for a kid) fun... Depressing, ahaha. A comedian with the real truths.

Just everyday life with the wife, a 26 y.o. son who's a vet, the dog, a grandchild & his neigbors Everyone here would enjoy brad upton, if you dont already know about him. He's another dry bar comic, too "You know what we had for sunscreen? _DIRT._ All over my face & washed down my throat with a garden hose. Go take a bath, change into my pajamas & into the bed. No problem- - look how i turned out!" On children's car seats: "I paced the back seat when I was 4. When my mom hit the brakes hard & I did fall into the front seat. Just like a trout shed throw me right back: 'Whaddaya doing up here, get back THERE.' " Classic boomer & genX childhood stuff 🤣🤣🤣

    @@Mozart1220 Ok, I got some misinfo on Carlin there. But I didnt bother to read his bio, either... 🥴🥴 Concerning Trump & anything politics, I try to stay away from that Unfortunately most churches are heavy into politics, & encourage their flock to vote. But theyre observing the parts of the Bible they like, & ignoring other parts of it. Like where Jesus says "They are no part of the world just as I am no part of the world." Sure, we must respect the superior authorities (Romans 13), & Jesus did pay his taxes. But we are citizens of God's Kingdom. That means I am a Christian first, but I am an American citizen by a distant second I hope this makes sense, bc I dont want to get into another heated discussion with anyone over politics & religion again. Just however you may differ with my position here, I must respect your beliefs, nevertheless. Let's stop being like the very unchristian world surrounding us, & show that we can still respect one another & practice neighborly love

    @Matthew Allen what? Firstly, that isn't what jealousy is. Second, someone's loyalty or affection is never something "rightfully belong to you". You earn those attributes. And jealousy in relationships is also a toxic response, it's not the "correct way to feel". Not in a healthy relationship anyways

  • @umbranox6891

    @umbranox6891

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Matthew Allen forgive me but I do not believe in your god, so that discussion is irrelevant here. My points were towards your incorrect definitions of jealousy vs coveting, and your ideas of loyalty and love being "owed" to you. Relationships, including marriage, takes constant work and effort from both parties to remain healthy. I'm not here to discuss who's at fault in a failed marriage, but merely to say that you arent "owed" any form of continued loyalty or affection if you yourself dont also continue to put in the work. (I use "you " pronouns, but I dont mean you personally, rather a general blanket audience. Obviously I dont know you.) As per cheating, while jealousy is definitely a natural feeling, it's not neccesarily the "correct " one; "correct" being replaceable with "healthy". Anger does bad things to a person's judgment, and has a tendency to lead people down the road of revenge in that scenario.

    I've finally learned that women ask us the "what/where are you doing /going" to give us time to think about what we're doing, why we shouldn't, why she'll be mad and what we're gonna do to save ourselves. It's always seen as some kind of trick or game but really they are throwing us a lifeline to pull ourselves up or strangle ourselves. That revelation really changed my entire outlook.

    @@Ricardo-sx5xk no denying that. Studies of the brain of men and women show that men TEND TO (can't put enough emphasis on that) not think as long when faced with a perceived threat and TEND to react with violence. While females TEND to think longer about a perceived threat and how she can "get back" at someone without physical violence. Thus, the games begin...both sexes have some petty in their biological makeup. I was mad at a boyfriend because everytime he went to golf, he came home hammered. Meaning he endangered his life and the lives of others on the road. He would crawl into bed thinking I wouldn't notice him getting in, giggling, smelling like a brewery and yacking in the middle of the night or as soon as he woke up. He could be dressed head to toe in his golfing outfits, carrying his caddy and I would ask "Where you off too, babe?" He looked at me like I was stupid. I knew he wasn't going golfing based on the condition of his clubs, caddy and shoes. He "fell in the mud" once with perfectly and miraculously didn't have a spec of dirt anywhere on him. He was going out to party. Wouldn't have cared about him lying to go have a good time, I cared that he was drinking and driving. No overcast whatsoever on hot summer days yet no tan lines whatsoever. When I asked him those questions, I was literally letting him know secretly that I knew what he was really doing. After I figured out what bar, would order an uber for him just to make it a little more aggressive that I knew and wasn't ok with it. I was giving him time to think if he was making intelligent decisions without insulting his ego. Eventually he took it as I was accusing him of cheating. Nope. I was calling him out on doing something extremely dangerous. Some of my finally words to him were asking if he could live with himself knowing he hurt or killed someone. That hurt his ego. It was maybe 2 weeks after that that he was involved in an awful accident with another vehicle. Some women nag or ask things out of insecurity but the OP nailed it. Some of the ladies can say we do it because we love our men and don't want to make them feel like a child by pointing out what we've already observed flat out. We want you to rack your brain and think wisely.

But I know lots of women who are very confrontational and go straight to the problem. Stayed with a friend and her boyfriend for a few nights. He saw a new tattoo on her and was absolutely pissed because they were struggling financially- so she basically stole from him to get a tat. The fight was very interesting to say the least. Two confrontational people in a pissing contest and damage to the property as both were physical about it. I'm no longer friends wirh her as she forged a check my mom gave her and during interrogation, tried to blame it on me til they showed her the footage of her forging it in her car before going to cash it. I'd kill to see that interrogation tape and her face when the detective played his ace.
