Understanding ESP car technology | How does it work?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The #ESP Electronic-Stability-Program, helps to maintain control of the car on difficult roads and in those critical driving situations where the vehicle tends to roll off the road or slip due to the laws of physics (for example, in sharp curves that are taken high speed). Its objective is to reduce traffic accidents associated with skidding and loss of control.
An ESP consists of an electronic control unit (ECU), actuators located in the brake system and the following sensors:
Steering Angle: Located on the steering column, it reports the movement of the steering wheel.
Turning speed: common to ABS and located on the wheels, they report possible blockages.
Turning angle and lateral acceleration: reports the real behavior of the car.
