Understanding diopter equations and diopters

If you want a distance to blur of xcm, what differential strength should you get? Why does -1.5 to -1 change your cms by 34cm while -9 to -9.5 changes it by only 0.5cm? By the end of this video you should know the answers to these questions.
Gemily Mez has done a really good video that will provide some more visual context for how diopters change as your diopters get higher. Check it out: • Eye Chart vs. CMs to B...

Hey @NottNott.I have a -1.25 in the left eye with -1 stigmatism and -3.75 in the right eye without any stigmatism. This means that I have low myopia in one eye and high myopia in the other right? So,should I consider wearing differentials.with a -1 correction in the right eye and no correction in the left?.Can I ignore the stigmatism in the differentials(If i wear)cuz its juts -1.Do I have amblyopia. If so can you tell some endmyopia method to fix it.PLEASE NOTTNOTT NO ONE IS HELPING ME .PLEASE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION.PLEASE and you are doing a great job by the way

This is interesting, because values better than 100 create a less than -1D fraction. For example, being able to see the 8km mountain from my home is 100/8000 which = .0125 diopters. It goes to show you that even individuals with "perfect" vision is not so perfect after all! Literal perfect vision would require a blur distance of infinity to get a 0 diopter lens "requirement." Of course, being able to see trees on a mountain 8km away for reality is fantastic! In fact, the 11km distanced mountain barely makes a difference from the 8km one when you have diffs on. 2cm in front of your face makes more difference than 3km out far away.

Ya it's good his you tube vacation is over lol, looks like you have 2 different cm for -9. looks like you computed diffs as 2.5 instead of 1.5
