Yes zinc rich galvanize paint is applied after welding

Stick welding should never be done without welding goggles to protect ones eyes, and galvanized welding should be done with a respirator, since it exposes one to zinc and lead. I hate seeing it when employers care so little about their workers that they allow this to happen.
