I ordered the Zoom98 on the Meletrix GB a couple of weeks ago. This will be my first custom keyboard. I ordered the tri-mode non flex cut version in anodized Black with WS Morandi switches and WS PBT WOB keycaps. I also ordered the additional modules and a brass plate from Dangkeebs. I was using the same 20 year old Steelseries Shift keyboard until I spilled a beer on it a month ago and replaced it with an inexpensive Logitech mechanical keyboard. I was amazed at the difference. Don't know why I waited so long to replace my old keyboard. I have built my own PC's for 20+ years and upgrade them regularly. Looking forward to building this keyboard hoping it shows up sooner than later. I've never done a group buy before. Thanks for the video.

Love that red color with the white on black keycaps! It does seem like Zoom (and plenty of others) would do well to send the non-flex cut PCBs out to content creators. People have been harping on it for a long time now, and it seems like it would genuinely benefit their marketing to get configs that align with the preferences of the reviewers.

@@MakerMods Fair point, I’ve definitely heard pretty consistently that the east asian market has a preference for flex cuts / foam. I just am surprised that it seems so rare that a reviewer gets the no flex cut version when that option is available. AndyV said something the other day about manus not prototyping the non-flex cut PCBs, maybe it’s related to that as well.
How would the FR plate function/differ from the one it comes with
I'm thinking there's some limit to the bouncy/flexy typing feel with these gasket "straws". The Neo65 is very bouncy and soft with it's "gasket feet" mounting style and it has a non-flex cut PCB.
You should include the mods in your sound tests. It’s kinda important to evaluate the case quality
Would Mito m3s go with this board? Thinking of the pulse keycaps Just wondering if those would feel to stuffy over some cherry profiles… Just found the cosmic odyssey with an hour before the gb ended last night 😅 & now looking for keycaps🦾 suggestions welcomed! 🙏🏼 😊
