Mia Mace They’re actually Australian saddles, they’re a mix of the western and the English, no horn and they have a beartrap style to keep them secure

I feel so bad for these horses. I had a beautiful bay mare when I was a young girl who I would run barrels on for fun. Never once put spurs on or yanked her head around by the mouth. I loved her too much to put her through that! Putting spurs on a child who doesn’t understand how to even control a horse is despicable. Poor babies.

spurs are not abusive they will be fine i’ve been on horses since i was 1 1/2 and all of my horses are fine

If you want the horse to go forward, stop pulling on it’s mouth and pulling it either right or left 😂

My horse is 3 years old, and she will crow hop whenever I do barrels. My trainer said maybe she just to young and that she needs to start barrels at the age 5. But Fallon Taylor Starts her horses at age 4, and my horse is an American quarter horse. So, I figured I can start barrels when my baby is 4.

... why do i see English saddles? I’m offended as a barrel racer because they are mixing English and western 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😑😭

IDK who's riding English, I watched the whole thing and all I see are Western saddles, but Australian Western saddles. And I guess that's ok, since this took place in... AUSTRALIA! And they don't have a horn, but they do have a handle. Probably safer than our barrel saddles, doesn't feel good to land on the horn.

a western saddle sould have been a requirment, its not really safe to barrel race in english tack.

Bridgette’s Hwy2heaven Mate it’s not even an English saddle it’s an Australian saddle I ride western and I use a western saddle but some want to use otherwise and it’s not like they are going to be a world champion it’s only a bit of fun

Y’all need to stop hating on the children with ‘ English saddles ‘( Aussie saddles ) read the title and it says they are under 11 which you may not get the same experience as you would with an adult as with a 11 year old and under same wig the yanking and spurs, the infants probably don’t know what they are and the older kids use them sensibly and with the yanking it’s with the younger kids,they are just nervous and probably ddI it on accident, can’t blame them I would be the same

Maddie and Ben Bro it’s matters because if you’re cantering or galloping quickly around a barrel you have to hold the horn of the western saddle with one hand and the reins with the other hand so you don’t get thrown off to the side

everyone is saying their english? this was in AUSTRALIA those are STOCK SADDLES and FENDER SADDLES😂 plus falling on a horn hurts its better fo little little kids

It's scary that so many people in the comments have a problem with the kids riding in english saddles, but don't have a problem at all that many of these Kids are yanking their horses around and kicking them hard with spurs. Shame on you for caring for the Equipment, but not caring for the horses.

DieGinny Firstly it’s an Australian saddle a western saddle without a horn basically and secondly,They love their horses if they didn’t they wouldn’t be trusted with one so they wouldn’t be barrel racing it’s obviously the parents fault to say it’s ok to use them and kicking and whipping is the life of barrel racing
