You're right, in the ring he is very professional. I would hate to fight the guy in a dark alley somewhere, though. He may not be so courteous.

now that is gentlemanly conduct right there when his opponent hurt his foot kicking him he stood back where most would have capitalised on the weakness, that deserves recognition imo

The way he leaps forward when striking, the lightning quick looping shots, the level changing, the GNP, all that reminds me of prime Fedor.

When he stopped @ 1:32 when his opponent hurt his leg after a kick, he stops and asks if he want's to continue.....then knocks him out and stops from follow through punches @1:40......"respect" for that.

Damn, he knew dude broke his foot and he felt bad for him and didn’t want to attack or take advantage of that…. once his opponent said he was ok, then the killer instinct turned on lol. I like this guy.

Respect He very clearly did not keep on hitting his opponent after injury, checked if his opponent is OK to continue, and when again tagging him, held back to give the ref a chance to stop. Shows concern for his opponent's well being. Good to see.

Azamat is destroyer but with deep compassion toward his opponents--a rare attribute among MMA fighters. And his kind heart just might keep Karma in his corner for a long time. Although Azamat is not physically cut up, he takes hard body kicks well. Plus, he's really heavy handed, both standing and on the ground, much like a prime Fedor.

Anyone who has this pop in his punches and such a smooth double leg single leg take down is a real monster.

I love his leg movements. They’re so smooth in transition, that makes him very powerful in his upper body

He seems t be mostly a boxer who knows how to negate the typical MMA grappling, kicking but can handle himself on the ground. On the ground he seems to favour punching over submission moves. Impressive guy.

Azamat is a Circassian, a small republic located next to Ingushetia. Circassians are the least famous in western countries but they used to be the strongest and proudest people in the Caucasus. I hope he will be a top contender and that there will be more Circassian fighters in the UFC soon incha'Allah

@Ed Ducate it all depends on US giving him a visa, remember he's considered Russian after all and the US gets antsy when "Russians" want to go to its territory, I doubt he'll refuse coming to the UFC since it's the dream of any pro fighter. I'd really love seeing him kick ass in the US hopefully he'll get the attention he deserves

And he's a classy sportsman. To step back when he knows his opponent is hurt is just classy.
