Important to note that the dash in a '69 Firebird is similar to a '67-'68 Camaro...that is an easy way to detect a '69 Fire-Maro

Whomever redid the white 69"rs/ss" did a pretty nice job. They added some nice options; It's not too likely that a six banger car would have been built with "comfortilt", "wood" wheel,or the fold down seat. they added most of the tell-tale parts of the big block...Does it have a 12 bolt? Overall a nice car.Nice find!

Cool find. My car also started life as a 6 banger in Cortez silver with blue interior. I think that was a popular combination back then. Now it’s been upgraded to BB 427.

Hey Parker, thanks for creating these videos bro! You do a great job. I'm wondering if you've done any featuring yards with reasonably priced Camaro projects in them? I'd like to pull a first gen project out of a yard somewhere. I want to save one from being crushed or rusting away. Point me in right direction. Happy to give you finder's fee.

For the most part they are plucked out of junkyards.. you would have to find a private one most likely.. I have a couple i can put in a junkyard lol

@@backyardbarnfinds Haha, you wouldn't do that tho. But yeah, if you could lmk some junkyards to look in it'd be a big help because the ones around where I live don't have any first gen Camaros or Firebirds.

Wow, that white Camaro was a 6 popper but had power windows and the flip down rear seat? I wonder if they put a 12 bolt in it? I had a 69 SS350 with power windows and they don't age too well :( Nice finds!

I think the Firebird looks so much better in a Camaro

I disagree. Firebirds such a better looking car and should just plain taillights on back. A couple of sunken headlights on Front. There's the Camaro firebird has that classic beak and the bar going across the tail lights. Well other than having three times as many Camaros or more for every firebird made There isn't anything wrong with the Camaro otherwise. The sad thing is we no longer have the choice as these cars get older The only thing left is to Camaro for now.

Shouldn’t the drag body have some bracing to keep it from twisting out of shape? Love the videos !

Got to love when they basket 🧺 case a good car. Firebirds are so much better than a Camaro. I've got a 67 ragtop with an overhead 6 cam. I would not be afraid to drive it across country. Heck when I bought it number years ago I put around 3,500 mi on it driving it halfway across the country. We drove all over that half a country. I've got a 68 firebird somebody was trying to make it into a Camaro Z28 clone but fortunately they did not get into the main part of the body. It's a coupe. I also know where there's several pieces of crap first generation firebird or Camaro. Especially Camaros. It made so many still a lot of them around. I'm kind of surprised 😯 you haven't had more luck finding them. Unless you just looking for a large quantity of bits and pieces. I'll share some information with you if you like just give me a contact. Normally with the cars I just put it out there but when it comes to these first-gen especially 67 and even 68 I just don't put it out there in public. I don't want to flood these people. And I'm talking about multiple places across the country. We are talkin about bits and pieces. Basically if it could be unbolt it and taking off it already has and maybe the car's been cut up. But if somebody has a shell there's somebody cut out the whole bottom end underneath, then these are their bits and pieces you want. What good is that Camaro cut-out body with the title if you don't have a VIN tag? Okay A little bit of a rant. Man I've even got a 68 442 that somebody made into a dirt track car back in the 80s and it was a solid Western car to begin with. And when I see what you showed I think of this car I've got and what had been and what it should be and what it is is a waste. But I still bought it. It goes good with my other cutlasses.
