I normally don't watch such unboxing videos, but the chemistry between you two is awesome and makes it all the better! LOL. I have to agree with Yvonne though, since the inside does look rather cheap and ridiculous for something purposefully marketed as being "reversible", but then "cheap and ridiculous" does seem to be the NHL's current operational mantra! LOL.

And, to be frank, with the wave they've been playing over the past five years, he's right. 😳 Even if they win the Stanley Cup this year, they will always be the team that lost to a Zamboni driver, the team that ends up with a 4-1+ lead and blow it by the end of the game, and the team that keeps making records for all the wrong reasons despite being one of the top teams in the NHL. I don't care how slick they are on the outside, they will always be silly to me on the inside. And I'm not sure if I want them any other way. It always makes them so interesting as a team.

There shouldn't be. That's what Shannon keeps saying. I tried to make dinner for the kids today and definitely regretted that, that made me feel horrible for a couple hours; it's really hard to not do stuff.

I just know a little about sewing from school. I assumed they would avoid stuff like the printing in the neck and cover up stitching to make it look good both inside and out. They just didn't bother. And the inside jersey looks as hideous as you'd expect due to that. On the good side, it'll probably rank high in the ugliest jersey competitions in the future.

It is crazy how many people u see wearing this jeresey on the drew side in Toronto. Especially teens and young adults. I think they hit their target market with this. I was at a concert at Scotiabank and saw at least 6 different guys wearing this in the span of 20 min.

Was gonna say, they did a poll on the Jersey. And people over 30 hated it, and yet people under 30, loved it.

If by reversible, they meant being able to reverse your decision on buying it then they did a fantastic job.

Love to watch when you’re both on the video! But maybe at your new house you can set up a cubicle like the old Hollywood Squares show so that all your cats and bunnies have their own square! 😁

I was going to buy a Demko jersey for myself next month but my cousin talked me into halfvsies for her son's 12th birthday, $120 to get him an Oilers McDavid jersey. I had to do it, when I was a kid in Winnipeg during the 70s & 80s Edmonton was hated by all my friends but I wore a Gretzky jersey, I see a little bit of me in the kid.

Love your unboxing videos! I collect a lot of memorabilia of mainly bobbleheads and hats from MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL teams all over. I don’t collect jerseys though, but your jersey collection is beyond amazing! Let’s just say you with jerseys is like me with bobbleheads.

I know I'm old but I'm not against change but when I see the regular maple leafs jersey I love it. It's NOT reversable.

I have a reversible jersey for a beer league team. thought it was a fun idea at first until you realize it's just two jerseys stitched together making it heavy and HOT. Plus it was sublimated so not very comfortable/breathable either

My son ordered this as soon as he saw it and he loves it!! I have to admit the blue/black side is amazing! I love it also. The yellow side is for kids/young people, so it isn’t made for me, and I appreciate that I am not the target audience for the yellow side. Everyone getting hung up on it just needs to get over it because they are probably an old fart, and that is not who the yellow side of the jersey is for anyway. My son loves this jersey, he wears it proudly, and that’s all that matters. He’s 20, I’m 50, so that’s the difference. People complaining about the yellow side are just showing their age, no offence.

This is my opinion as someone in the middle. You said you were 50 and your son is 20. I'm 35. The one big thing I can agree with you on is that it's all personal preference and that your son loves it and wears it with pride. If he's happy with it, Great 👍 👌. We don't all need to agree on what the next guy likes and dislikes. I Love the black and blue side. Truly wish that was their regular jersey. My issue with it comes in right here... I Really don't like that particular yellow. I definitely think there were better options out there. So aside from the color issue, the part that probably bothers me the most is that it looks like the initial effort to design something new was there. The follow through and lack of either planning or quality control at the other end was just not there. If they found a way to blend or hide some of the folds and thread ends to not look rushed and sloppy I think I'd like it a lot more..... Even with that yellow. Anyway, hope you made it to the end. P.s. Shannon, the Lightning ripped off the Leafs’ colours, with this jersey the Leafs stole them back. And I’m totally fine with that.

I always wear a shirt under my jersey so I can take it off if I gotta do something like eat or do a little work on something

I usually buy the Adidas versions of all the jerseys but for this I bought the fanatics cause I didn’t want the fight strip dangling

I think its a great idea, something fun to do. Of course it isn't gonna look too good, this is the first time they've done something like this. Hopefully if they continue to do that, they'll get better at designing it.

(Update) I actually did order the Fanatics replica version, with Marner’s name and number. It’s not that bad. The logo has that vinyl-ish feeling so it won’t be scratchy. No fight strap of course, but yes the Fanatics size tag shows up on the reverse side, lol.

back here a year later since the reveal and i truly believe that this is the best leafs jersey ever made in their entire franchise history.

Finally pulled the trigger and got this Beauty, I went with the fanatics because it was on sale and no fight strap for when I feel like reppin the Biebs. I now understand why you have so many jerseys, it is very addicting!

We have had reversible jersey for two years. The K1 brand is not sewn it is all printed. We have the blue on one side and white on the other. This for high school varsity team. It is doable.

I only ordered one because (as a leafs fan) i told myself if they made a black Jersey i would order it, i put it off until recently because i figured they would make one that wasn't reversible and i then realized just about everyone was sold out (except hockey authentic) so i figured i better order one because it may never happen again for a long time and i would hate myself for not jumping at the opportunity. Now i bet they will make a blacked-out alternate Jersey.

I need to get me some reversible Underwear, so I can make them last twice as long.

I like the black and blue Leafs side, but yeah, it's an inside out jersey. I love how tickled Yvonne was 😂

I mean, I agree the yellow side is a little goofy. But I think that's what they were going for. I think the stitching being roof was supposed to add the stitching. Only thing I think was really lazy was the tail tag.

OMG! That LA Kings jersey logo looks like the creepy plastic Burger King “king” character of their TV commercials from like 20 years ago!

I got mine from Ben a few days ago. The blue side is awesome - even though it's the Leafs

The fanatics version is that super sticky... like rubbery ,sublimated logo on both sides, I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to wear.

The regular side is not bad. The inside-out is just yuk.

Everytime i see that yellow Leafs logo I think of Sponge Bob and figure it's what he would look like if he was electrocuted...

I like 50 percent of this jersey. I hope they keep it as a 3rd and we get a version that doesn't do that

Honestly for this Jersey if a Leafs fan wanted it. Wouldn't the Fanatics Jersey be better? No Fight strap and less detail around the color seems like it would be cleaner and look less dumb.

I bought it because I love the main design since it's black and blue (my favorite color scheme). But I could care less about the inside and will likely never flip it inside out lol

Reversible might be new to the NHL, but the NFL did that in the late 90s. I have a reversible black/blue Dallas Cowboys jersey in my closet and it looks much better then this when reversed.

That's not the blind bun, she is gray, and she knows where all the spots are on the tree. We had to watch her closely until she figured it out as she rolled off a few times.

That's really weird, I ordered the same jersey but I feel like mine has better stitching on the inside. I guess maybe sizes have differences, Im a bigger guy so I ordered a 5xl so maybe I got like a goalie jersey. Don't know why they are different. Important to mention, I don't have a fight strap on the inside not sure why, probably cause they know if your wearing a 5xl jersey, you're not straping on skates 😂

I'm not a Leafs fan but the outside is absolutely beautiful. I don't mind the inside colors/design but it's hilarious how they executed the reverse. Even just having the tag on the outside makes this stupid.

The point of being reversible is for one side to be home colour and the other side to be away white.

I’m so confused. The one I was sent doesn’t have a fight strap on it. I will probably never wear the smiley face out since the tags on the side would be just hanging out.

I'm with Yvonne 100% I also sew and there are so many ways to do seams that are appropriate finishing for an actually reversible jersey. There are a bunch of different fabrics as well that can achieve a proper reversible effect without adding additional weight, though I do think they should have just accepted that this is a novelty jersey and made it reversible by lining it so you don't get the tags and jersey size etc visible on the "reversed" side. Which currently is just the inside-out side. And just leave the fight strap off, that's silly. And they could have incorporated the "Honour Pride Courage" bit on the outside of the jersey, like into the sleeve stripes, into the logo, or embroidered or printed into the shoulder/back yoke. They had the opportunity to make a really cool jersey that was actually properly reversible and they whiffed. It's just inside out. The serged seams are atrocious.

To extended it further, Tampa should never have been allowed to steal thee Leafs colours. See what I did there, champ? I compared NHL team colours.
