My loyal Phillips keyboard was finally due for an upgrade after many years of good use so I decided to try the K3 RGB Wired Mechanical Backlight Keyboard. I've never owned a mechanical keyboard before and I wanted to give one a try.
On Takealot the K3 keyboard is officially referred to as Olive Tree - K3 RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Grey Orange.
I'm not sure what the Olive Tree refers too as the brand on the box is Ziyoulang. Olive Tree could be the distributor.
Anyways I was super impressed with this relatively affordable mechanical keyboard. It looks beautiful and the matte surface of each key makes for a very rewarding typing experience. The mechanical sounds when you type are just perfect. It really makes typing a lot more fun and interesting.
I was misled by the box since it features a white model on the cover, but when I opened the box I realised it was the Grey Orange model I ordered. So just keep that in mind if you get confused upon delivery. I almost sent mine back!
The keyboard comes with a key puller which is easy to use. As I demonstrate in the video the keyboard comes with red switches.
I picked this up from Takealot for R815. So far it seems like it was worth it. It looks great on my desk, the typing sensation is awesome and the backlight effects add a touch of delight to the experience.
