The liquid used is called flux. The workround done on the mobo is called "reflow" and it's temporal.. I recommend you to do "reballing"

Approximately something around 100 or 120 degrees. Remember that this should be done with caution , otherwise other chips and components , can they have soldiers come loose with the wind , not to mention the possibility of melting this component .

Locally heat the board may cause the board bend... and break internally. Maybe, I mean. This time it went well. I have done bad before. I guess more secure way is to heat up the whole board with a heating platform.

160C is not hot enough to melt even leaded solder. Leaded solder melts at 186C, lead free 220C

Par ailleurs ce travail et incomplet et inutile puisque aucune surveillance n'a était établie pour les courbe de montée et de descente de température ainsi que l'application de pâte thermique qui laisse a désirer. Je dis sa je ne dis rien étant du métier, je sais par expérience ce que j'avance.

You even could do it . Several users used the hair dryer , and threw the direct hot air on the chip. But this should be done with caution. Otherwise other components , can they come off with hot air force, not to mention that if you press the chip , welding can be done in the wrong way . Search for more about " Repair BGA "

While it's on, touch the chips of the Audio or Nic with finger. If it's very hot than there it is the problem. Prepare for extreme solution, that is to remove that chip with flat screwdriver, just knock its side. Careful not to hit the tiny parts around it. Now its jobs got taken over with PCi card. I did this several times

depend upon your condition of your motherboard if PCH ic is bad condition ,i think it will not help you for this time . i advice to you that you should change the PCH ic . this would help you......................

+Josph Revollido First check the power supply ( PSU ATX SMPS ). If it is working, then remove all the peripherals from the motherboard except processor and RAM. Then power on the motherboard using the header pins located on the motherboard or power switch if connected. if your motherboard fails to turn on then you need some tools like a multimeter to test further. or if the procesor fans is spinning and there is no display then you can plug a POST card in PCI slot and read the corresponding error codes from the board manufacturer.

Hmm... I believe you have reversed this video. The FFFF code is after you heated the graphics chip ;)

It might work for 1-7 days , after It will crash again . There is no sense to do that . When you heat it , connection inside of chip is getting better for a short while . Don't do it , it's not a solve.

My 945 mother has "no display" problem. When front panel power on button is pressed all voltages 12 v; 5 v; 3.3 v are coming but with fluctuations, about 3 pulses per second. 2 x 2 power supply point to CPU also has same fluctuations from 11 v to 12 v. All fans are running; but processor is not heating. No beep from the speaker either. SMPS is OK when checked outside the circuit; no pulses. It is working well with other motherboard. Please help me.

Please be kind enough to explain how I could check Ram card and GMGH power supplies. By the way I should also have brought to your kind notice that I have checked the voltages after disconnecting all devices and peripherals and keeping only motherboard, ATX and processor, outside the cabinet on a wooden table. It made no difference if 1 GB DDR 2 ram is removed or inserted. Both ram and processor Core 2 Duo E7500, work well in the other board. Please help.

please check ram slot pin number 1 and 51 if there is voltage like 1.8 thats means your ram power supply is ok then gmch vtt mosfet to gmch is missing check that ok

Hi, I had recently called a mechanic because I had same problem. it was not turning on 😲. That guy from computer repair shop came with a device, I don't know thats device name but I know that is use to check voltage of circuit. He put its 2 pins on mother board and told me that it is not responding. He took my cpu to his work shop. Next day he came had said "one side of mother board was burned because of short circuit" he told me that he had replaced that part with a part in his shop. He didn't mention any hing about psu. Now same problem is occuring after 1 week. Now my question Is he is cheating me? Or make me fool? Pls anybody answer me i don't want to waste my money more.

If you can remember what kind of PSU you had, color and brand BEFORE, see what you have now...If he replaced the PSU then he gave you an even older PSU, that PC repair shop,,the guy is guessing...if he is young and lives in the basement he is definitly guessing.

depends on what he said he replaced. it could be that he replaced a capacitor or the psu itself. would need more info to know if he is cheating you or if something else went out.
