When the saddle came out of box 1 it dawned on me: With a Brompton, that is about the only item that is not already on the folded bike if you want to get it even more compact! 1 step assembly!

Mine was Flame but this just took it for me!! Even harder to choose because the Flame has just been released on the p line and also has the new pedal design. They should all just be Lacquer finishes cause they are just simply lovely.

@@TheBromptonGuy New Pedals? Loose, not folding? I would never use Pedals able to be lost. But a somewhat lighter model maybe, if so? I have seen an Asian film about possible scratches if moving the folded pedal/arm round, but I never do that, so it isn't a problem, except the weight. Finn. Denmark

@@TheBromptonGuy I do have both green lacquer and the new flame lacquer. They both look gorgeous and it is hard to pick the best, but I think I still slightly lean towards the green one :)

There’s something wonderful about getting a shiny, immaculate new bike. Very nice colour, the choice of which is always difficult. I recently bought 2 P Line Electric Bromptons in Toronto ( Curbside Cycle……wonderful store and staff) and was offered any colour I wanted……..as long as it was black. No stock of the only other P Line Electric colour, which is grey. But I’m delighted with the bikes. I’m 75 and have owned more than my share of good bikes, but this Brompton has become my favourite.

The P line electric must be a beautiful bike to cycle I'm sure. From your experience what milage to you get. The colour really really sold it to me tbh and the fact it's seasonal if I didn't act now might take years to come back. Pretty much sold out these bikes now. The P line also now has even more of a colour range including the flame lacquer. Thanks for watching

This may sound a little ‘dim’ on my part but I can’t say what kind of mileage I’m getting. I’ve yet to ride it until the battery is really down. However, if I’m out on a fairly flat ( easy) ride for an hour and do perhaps 12 miles, it seems I have 70% battery remaining. Because of my age, I really only wish to be on the bike for an hour and a half at a time so the distance issue re the battery is of no concern. It’s the perfect bike for my age and activity level. And the portability of the bike is an enormous plus. Enjoy your new P Line! @@TheBromptonGuy

That's fair! TBH anything over 30miles (when seems like the battery would cover easy) then it's a winner. I'm going to be testing a brompton electric in January so will do a video to see how far it covers.@@laurielyon7740

My "Flame Painted", now weighing much less than my originally bought, 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton is - mostly what I need, and may need, so I don't find that much pleasure in buying an - extra Brompton, as I now have 6 gears and presently much - less weight than my bought bike at 8,75 kilo, and still falling (I have the parts ready for "The Danish Day of Summer"), and still with my mudguards on my bike!! As a "Rainy Dane" I never leave Home without them😄!! If anything I would buy a "7 speed set" - wheel and a changer from Asia, as it then only would have chain gears, which rolls much more easy and much less complicated!! Finn. Denmark

The have now also just released the flame lacquer for the p line this year!!! Buying this bike I couldn't help but feel it brings me ever so close to the weight go your bike but still have a 1 or 2 k to go. I think the mudguards are a must also!! Hope you're well friend.

@@TheBromptonGuy Changing the clamps on my mudguards till my bought set of Carbon and Aluminum holders, will most likely give some 250 gram extra less weight? And I have looked at a new Stem Post from Titanium (I have titanium bolts and wedge holding it on top and inside) but I want it to be Flame Painted as my present one, not to advertise - even more, insanely expensive parts, than the bike itself, and that may cost me? 😁 Besides my dear wife isn't exactly very pleased with my updates so far, as I have enough parts bought for my bike! And naming that she has several filled shelves with colored and smelling spirits, for an absolutely, even much more absurd price, and still buys new, of course isn't much help! Finn. Denmark

@@TheBromptonGuy Did you not say that you didn’t understand why people purchased a P - line just because it’s a bit lighter when you can upgrade your existing Brompton to be more versatile, so when I saw your P-line unboxing could not believe it , I really did think you was coming from a different angle but you’re now just like the other Brompton channels, shame really you were offering something completely different from the other channels. Oh well that’s life , good luck with your future.

@@kavanobrien6547on this channel my aim is to over time own all bromptons to give the best results for testing. I had to get a P line for many reason but the most present is that I’ll need the slight weight saving for the Dragon Ride this year in July! I simply would struggle hard on a standard c line for the event as it’s the bigger distance this year which has a whopper of a climb. Also I adore this colour. I still maintain the P line is an awkward line in principle but I haven’t tested it so hard to draw a fair and balanced conclusion. Could be worth every penny but doubt it will ever appeal to the mass. Sorry you feel the channel has went in a different direction but my goal is to draw fair conclusions across all (and custom) lines. Will take years to get there but that’s what I’m setting my eyes on.

@@TheBromptonGuy I only made my comments after you mentioned that you couldn’t understand why people would spend that much money on a P-line to get a bit lighter bike when there was many other options available, example what you achieved with your M-version , so when I saw you had purchased a P- line was somewhat confused that you had done the opposite what you had said previously, personally I find your videos very interesting and will be interested of your review of the P-line even though the original ones had the same wheels as the T- line then changed then to the C- line when I asked why they did that didn’t really get a straight answer but subsequently they are going back to putting the wheels back on them what they had when it was first launched = the same as the T-line , not sure which you have on your model , as you are probably aware the T -line wheel is lighter because of the the way they are made . Not heard of that race you mentioned but I wish you well in it. One does hope with your journey regarding the Brompton in the future there will be a space for the belt drive system that Brompton can’t or won’t see , every contact I have around the world with the Brompton bikes all have mentioned a belt drive for the bike is the way forward , curious now if you have the C- line wheels or the new wheels on your P-line, look forward to you review on you P- line , this message is at least a few double whiskey’s worth.
