막... 설레면서 봤습니다. 요즘 아주 조금씩 제 자전거를 스스로 관리해서 정비도 조금씩 하게 되어서 이전보단 보는 눈이 생겨서 그런지 뭔가 많이 아름답습니다. 과정 전체가 말이죠. 결과도 무척 아름답지만 그 과정도 못지 않게 보기 좋았습니다. 언젠가 꼭 인연이 닿아 제 자전거도 부탁하게 될 것 같은 느낌이 듭니다. 좋은 영상 잘 봤습니다^^

Thanks for this video, very enjoyable and informative. Could you tell me where you got the derailleur cable anchorage end piece that clamps the cable shown at 17:53? The part that fits in the end and clamps a grub screw down on the cable. Thanks again for the video.

Soothing to watch and quite informative. However, to me it seems like you just took apart a perfectly good classic Brompton that did not need restoring, only to repaint it in a garish colour scheme! 😀

Simply adding more weight to a already heavy frame, should have sandblasted before painting.

This bike looks like Chris Martin's piano.

Nice work! Question though, why do on some restorations you strip it up to the frame while for some like this one, you just rough sand the existing paint then repaint? I'm curious. Thanks!

It doesn't matter if you color the existing paint.

In order to protect the frame and ensure that the paint is applied well, the reason why the existing paint is not peeled off seems to be that there is no problem with using it as the background paint. This is because the existing paint is severely damaged when removing it.

The original paint is being used like a primer. It is still very well adhered to the original metal frame so there's no need to remove it. In some cases people strip it because they want to make it a raw version or because there is existing rust under the paint and they're trying to do a more intensive restoration than this needed. This bike was in excellent condition

this was good apart from the 3 second music loop. that part drove me nuts

Restoration? Thing looked in pretty good shape to begin with.

I would have chosen a sealed bearing set for the new headset. I have one with ceramic balls.
