That stand should store in a vertical position too. For storage...on the wheel side, pull the support out, rotate it 90° and then put it back in and lock it down. Make sure it's extended to give better support when you stand it up. Then slide your saw on the rails to butt up against the side of the support. Then stand it up and everything will rest on the two wheels and end of the support, which will now be vertical with the floor on one side...and the saw also being supported by the other.

i prefer the ridgid miter stand . bigger wheel . easy to setup with great extensions. easy to store vertically. very mobile. if your a contractor i’d go with the bosch rolling miter saw stand .

Hopefully I'll be getting this saw with an Evolution stand for Christmas. This saw seems incredibly inexpensive compared to the other ones with all the features it has. Even the Ryobi 10 inch is only a single bevel, and still $40 more. As long as this will cut all the dimensional lumber required for building a deck, and raised flower beds I should be fine. It'll need to cut 2x4, 2x6, 4x4, and 5/4x6 lumber. Not sure why they call them 5/4 when it's an improper fraction. Shouldn't it be 1 1/4? Am I missing something? LOL. Anyways, cheers, and thank you!

@Rustic Handyman I appreciate it! I wanted to stick with a 10" rather than 12" because they're lighter and easier for an old guy like me to move around.

@@russellwayne1524 Well, according to the included manual, two tools are not supplied. An "M5 wrench" and "M4 Hex Wrench". Having a beast of a time trying to locate the "M5 wrench". Be grateful if you can provide a source. Been searching the Internet and did find a "mini" M5 wrench - but that's about all. Thank you.

If I remember correctly, this is just 5mm and 4 mm metric hex wrenches. You can find these is a set at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Shouldn't be too expensive to buy them in a set. T-handle hex wrenches are even nicer for this application, but either type will do.

@@therustichandyman Want to acknowledge and thank you for creating, staging and publishing this video. Found it extremely helpful, well presented, clear and to the point. Also, called Skil Customer Service earlier today concerning the not supplied "M5 Wrench". Turms out it's a tiny thing used to loosen and tighten the fence hex head screws. No biggie. Appreciate also all caring enough to comment.
