THX, Joan. I really thought it would be more like a toy, but it is far better than any plastic trumpet I've played and is a great solution for travel or unique situations when I can't take a standard trumpet along. My 5-year old granddaughter likes to play it too = it is much easier to hold than a standard trumpet.

Hello! Is the instrument lacquered? If not how will you clean it on the outside?

This one is silver plated. I use silver cleaner when needed. They also make a lacquered finish in this model.

It sounds surprisingly good. Does it take a standard trumpet mouthpiece or a short-shank cornet mouthpiece? It is well with my soul. Love it!

@@blainekelley816 I'm just about to buy either a CB-3000 for my 10 years old son or Schagerl PT-200. He never tried a Cornet. Which one would you recommend? Are they harder to play than a regular trumpet? He just started learning and he is just rehearsing "It is well with my soul". Is Carol Brass mellower than Schagerl? Thank you!

After playing it for a while, I think Pocket trumpets have more resistance, likely because of the tight wrap, than most traditional trumpets. My granddaughter plays it, and is a good size for little hands … but I consider it just few steps better than a plastic trumpet. Great for vacation, but not equivalent to a standard trumpet .., in my opinion.
