I am getting ready to order one in Blue Velvet! I’m so frustrated because I had to get a new debit card just hours before I was ready to order it (thank you hackers), so my mixer is sitting in my cart, ready to order the second my card arrives. Patience is not one of my strengths!! You can perhaps imagine my dismay! I love yours, I had not heard if that Shadow and Light version, it’s really beautiful. These mixers are so awesome, and one thing I love is how people seem to consider them the holy grail of kitchen appliances, and are just in love with them. You don’t see people doing that over a new microwave!! Lol! In one of the videos I watched of an unboxing, the woman said it is the focal point of her kitchen. I love it!! Enjoy your beautiful new mixer; I really love the color with that beautiful bowl.

@@wendymathews1030 ooo blue velvet, that sounds like such a beautiful pop of colour!! Everyone says they’ve had their kitchenaid for years and years and have never regretted it so i’m so glad I was finally able to add it to my kitchen collection 😊 Thanks for watching!!

I never knew you could lower the tilt head. Great tip!

Beautiful mixer, I got the matte black one as a gift last year and have since treated her to a glass bowl which looks so elegant and more recently the stainless steel hammered look bowl.

Super chic color

I have 2 KitchenAid Stand Mixers in both Regular Silver (Tilt Head that I bought back in 2020) and in Contour Silver (Bowl Lift that I bought in March 2021)!

@@TeriAdrianna Equally I LOVE THEM BOTH!! However (oddly), I would reach for my Tilt Head Stand Mixer more for lighter batters! My Pro 600 Bowl Lift Stand Mixer on the other hand, I would use that for doughs because in my opinion, that Pro 600 is a BEAST FOR DOUGHS!!! (Even though my Tilt Head has a 300 watt motor.)

@@TeriAdrianna I wish my first one was also available in Cobalt Blue since Blue is my Favorite Color but I LOVE the Silver and I bought mines at an affordable price! I would like an Artisan model in Cobalt Blue one day!

Do you find the actual mixer itself hard to clean/ wipe down with the matte texture? I'm thinking about buying one.

I don’t actually! I was worried I would but it’s mostly just flour that gets on it and the occasional splatter, but it wipes off pretty well with anything that’s gotten on mine ☺️

Hi there, nice video, thanks for uploading this. I have had my KitchenAid ProLine mixer since 1989 and I love it (I also have a Kenwood Chef Titanium mixer, also loved.) It's unsettling, though, to know that your former KA new mixer was a dud. I wonder how often that happens. Hope you will get lots of use and happiness from your new mixer!

Do you know what color the mixer is? I've looked at the pictures on Crate and Barrel and customer pictures and it looks white. I went to see it in person yesterday and it looked taupe; completely different than the pictures and your video!

I don't think it has a specific colour name! It's just "Light and Shadow" but it is a taupe-y kind of colour, definitely a creamy off-white with a slightly grey / taupe tone to it, almost sandy. I'm sure it really depends on the lighting and what colours are around it but it is definitely not a bright white like the white stand mixer, and I don't think it's quite like the milkshake colour either but it's probably more similar to it than anything else. Hope that helps!

Just got this mixer today! Since it’s been a few months how is this holding up? Did it break again?

Just brought the same mixer today and I purchased the 5 year protection plan. I’m scared because I don’t want to break my bowl because I don’t see a replacement on the website.

I just ordered one with the stainless steel bowl but I really want the studded black and it’s out of stock 😩 I wish I could buy the bowl by itself or maybe someone can sell it to me 😅
