I have the same color! It is so gorgeous, sometimes I look at it sitting there on the counter in all of its glory, and think "I can't believe its mine"!! 😂😂 I made a cover for it out of clear vinyl because I wanted to protect it but not cover it, if you know what I mean!! Its far too beautiful to hide it away! Congratulations on receiving this beautiful mixer!! 🎉🎉

I just bought one yesterday. I share you sentiments about it being really expensive but I have wanted one for a very long time. I got this colour because most of my kitchen is in green so It will mix right in lol.

@@TheGeekyBaker I have yet to make Meringue successfully in it but I put that down to years with my kenwood so it will just take time! The little bowl is great when making Swiss meringue buttercream as you can use it as a Bain Marie and then attach to the machine to whisk x

@@TheGeekyBaker So sorry to hear about your health issues! I hope you are feeling better. My mixer is bright, shiny red. 😍 However, I really like the green you have chosen. I have a glass bowl that stays with my mixer on the bench, but I always use my metal bowl as it's lighter, and easier to use.

Could you try making buttercream in it? I've been having issues with my stand mixer with the butter getting stuck inside the whisk and wanted to see if it's just me

Yeah of course! I get that too sometimes with my Crux mixer, so definitely interested to see how the Kitchenaid mixes it. Plus I want to try the paddle with the rubber/plastic on too and see what difference that makes

Hiya, I would advise you not to use the whisk for buttercream. While it sounds counter-intuitive, whipping too much air into your butter cream will make it less smooth to use because of tiny air pockets. Use the paddle on the butter for a good five minutes so it softens and accepts icing sugar in more easily. Put in about ⅓ of the recipe icing sugar to start off with, gently press/fold it into the softened butter, then use the paddle to whip it in. Then repeat until all sugar is in. I've found this way makes less of an icing cloud for me.

Lovely kitchen, I think american kitchens unrenovated look horrible but the U.K & Australia & euro kitchens are much nicer The U.S are suppose to be leaders in everything gadgets yet the everyday house have backward looking designs
