ONE YEAR REVIEW OF MY REFURBISHED CLASSIC KITCHENAID STAND MIXER & HOW I SAVED MONEY ON MY PURCHASE!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I purchased my classic 4.5 quarts Kitchenaid stand mixer just about a year ago. With it being such a pricey machine, I had to consider a few things before I actually bit the bullet and bought one. Not only Is it expensive for me but it also takes up a lot of counter space and it is also heavy. Due to the fact that I cook all of our meals at home and all from scratch, I knew I would use this, allot. I found a spot on the counter and I am happy I bought it. In this review, I tell you how I saved quite a bit of money by purchasing a renewed machine from Macy's. I hope that this review will help you to decide if you want to purchase one for your kitchen and how you can get a good deal on one.

One of your dislikes about the beauty band is that it is loose, and yes, yours looks loose. It shouldn’t be that way. It is held on by screws in the rear under the rear dome cover. If you’re handy, unscrew the one screw at the top of the rear dome cover and remove it. (Be sure to unplug the mixer ;-) then look at the rear and see two screws that should be holding the band tight, one left and one right. They may be loose causing the band to be sloppy. Tighten these two screws, see what happens. One note, if you remove these two screws the band comes completely off for cleaning all under it. Then just put it back and tighten the screws. The band will then be flush with the body and have that “finished” look you like for a high end machine.

I love my Kitchen Aid, My old one lasted over 20 years, I just need to get it fixed one day. However my DD gave me a Kitchen Aid Pro, Love it. It is not a tilt head, and I use it several times a week. You mentioned the beaters chipping, Well as long as you use a rubber spatula to scrape them, and not bang them on the bowl, you will not have any chipping.

That is good to know about the chipping. I haven’t had a problem yet but I am careful with them and I hand wash them. It crazy that they last so long, that is what makes this kind of purchase worth it, the quality. Thanks for watching 😊

I have been wanting one for a very long time. I do a lot of baking. What does the hood do? I didn't know you can get bigger or smaller bowls that's amazing. That's a good idea to store your gadgets inside the bowl. Yes creaming stuff takes soooo long doing it by hand. Thank you for such a great review.

The hood of the machine i where the attachments connect to from underneath. You can also purchase more accessories such as meat grinder, food processes, or spiraling tool. The bowls are a certain size depending on the size of machine you purchase but yes, there are different sizes. I saved for a while once I decided it was something I would definitely put to good use. I think it is a purchase you won’t regret. I sure am happy with it. Thank you so much for checking out my video :)

All tilt-head mixers will move a bit when they are working with a heavy mixture, such as bread dough, cookie dough. I've had my KA mixer since 1989. It needs to be re-greased but it still works fine. It's worth noting that mine is from the days when they were still using the Hobart specs. Hope you will get many years of service with your machine. As someone else noted, just be sure not to hit the paddle or dough hook against the bowl to knock off excess batter. Hitting the attachment could chip the coating, so be sure to use a scraper instead.

Hi there, thanks for your question. I do find that mine does shake a bit. I show that in the video. I don’t really notice unless I am working a bread dough. It also hasn’t not worked. I was a little worried but I decided it was fine and worked we’ll despite the wobble. As far as wanting to send your back, it would depend on where you purchased and the policy they have. Check as soon as possible b4 it’s to late to return or exchange. I hope this helps you 😊 thank you for watching.

Think carefully before you buy a stand mixer. 80% of the people who buy one don't use them enough to justify the investment, and would be better off with a good handheld mixer that has at least 300 watts of power. Handhelds won't knead bread dough, but you can find recipes for knead-free bread on many KZread cooking channels.

Good tip! I told my self I didn't need one for a long time. We do pizza twice a week and more sometimes including breakfast pizza that the kids love. I also use the shredder attachment for grating cheese & veggies. It makes making coleslaw a breeze, too. I definitely use mine and it saves me lots of time and money.
