Great presentation. I have my grandmother’s Sunbeam from the early 50s and my mom’s mid 60s Hamilton Beach. They are both still running strong and might even outlive me. It’s actually quite sad when I think about how the USA let go of all its world class appliance making and now today it’s all from China and doesn’t last more than a few years.

I recently found a 1950s mixmaster at a thrift store. I paid 14$, its in mint condition, came with its original bowls and 6 beaters. I am in heaven!

Loved seeing your collection. How interesting that the first Sunbeam you showed had so many unusual attachments. My Mother had the second Sunbeam mixer and gifted me a harvet gold one when I got my first apartment. To this day I wish I still had it. My husband, bless his heart, surprised me with a Kitchen Aid when I was caring for my Mom in our home. One of the great things about the Sunbeam was there was more room to add ingredients while the mixer was running.

You have no idea how much I'm enjoying going through your videos on this cold snowy night. I happened upon this site by accident, looking to find info on installing a vintage stove. I'm in heaven. Thank you so much.

My Grandmother was a dietitian, and an avid cook. In 1960, she and my Grandfather went to the industrial appliance store in Nashville and bought a light industrial KitchenAid Hobart Mixer. It served her until her passing in 1991, it was then passed to my Mother who has had it and used it since. It is now over 60, and still serving the family to the fullest!

Birtman made Kenmore mixers, vacuums and blenders until 1957, then Whirlpool bought them out, the mixer division was spun off to Hamilton Beach, The prefix for Birtman is 116, the HB built ones is 400, That Wards is a Sunbeam mixmaster in drag

My mom had the Kenmore. We use the first Sunbeam you showed, the model 9. We have most all of the attachments. I threatened to polish the car with the polishing wheel. I have a roughly used ice crusher disk and cover that goes on the slicer attachment, blender, and the butter churn makes great butter in about 20 minutes. I use the knife sharpener annually. I have used the potato peeler during holidays when making a large batch, and frying up the string of potato left behind. Of the attachments I don't have is the grapefruit reamer that I've been looking for, for over 20 years.My fave is the manual/ recipe book. I must be psychic as I made the Sunbeam manual recipe for Thousand Island dressing today before seeing this episode! It is my go to recipe, and I get to use our Sunbeam egg cooker for the recipe. Thanks for displaying your mixers.

Hi Longhairbear! I hope you find the grapefruit reamer one of these days. I must say that I have never seen one, so they might be pretty rare. I was always amazed by the number of attachments Sunbeam came up with for the Mixmaster. I know someone else who uses their knife sharpener attachment regularly. I've not tried the Thousand Island dressing recipe from the book, but I will now! Thanks!

The most popular food mixer in Australia 🇦🇺 was the Sunbeam mixmaster. My mother had an MXF model made back in 1973/74 and she loved it!!

Kenwood mixers have been around a long time too. Sunbeam sold MixMasters in the UK in the 1950s and had dough hooks to help make scones that were not available in the US.

@@russ5024 I've just recently started making scones the USA way (biscuits) - they're going down a storm. I've started adding sultanas and sugar as we like a sweet scone, although savoury ones are available - mainly cheese. This is what I love about the internet - we get to see what other folks do, many times better! Take care.

I owned two of those triple-whip GE's. The first I had, I bought in the 80's, was an early postwar Sunbeam and the small city where I lived had a 'fix-it' guy who was a retired clown. He rebuilt that little Sunbeam and it ran like a top for several years for me, making piles of cakes. I gave it to an employee at the end of the 80's when I moved, still miss it. Have been a Bosch Universal guy also since the 70's, though of course it's not American, but it'll handle up to 10 loaves of bread dough. Never a fan of the weak-kneed KA's...

Finally! A Tour on Stand Mixers! I currently have 2 modern KitchenAids (one Tilt Head from last November 2020 and Bowl Lift from March of this year) and I love them. But if luck would come my way and someone would give me their old K5A or K5SS, I’ll gladly add that Stand Mixer along with my other 2! My grandmother used to have a Krups 3Mix 4000 Stand Mixer and believe it or not, it was an Oscillating Mixer that rotates from side to side in the bowl! Thanks for finally doing this video!

I have the chrome Mixmaster from the mid 80s, and it has the 2 holes for the different size bowls like the older models. Also have the old style chrome Sunbeam toaster from the 80s also. They both still work like the day I got them. They certainly made appliances last back then. 😊

Inspired by this video, I looked through some family photos and found a picture of my mother making cookies in her mother's kitchen before my mother married. My Maw Maw's Sunbeam with the movable bowl holder is on the counter in the background! I remember my Maw Maw using that Mixmaster until I was in my teens. She got a new stand mixer only because she wanted a harvest gold one! I recently found your channel and feel like a kid in a candy store (okay, a kid in the kitchens of my mother and grandmothers)! Thank you.

Thank you for this presentation. I picked up a 1938 Hamilton Beach stand mixer at a garage sale recently and I wasn't sure how to use it. I appreciate your help! Like Mr.Scottie68 said in a previous comment. Things used to be made SO MUCH better!

My Ma had the second Mix Master mixer on your display with the adjustable lever in the back. We use to spin marbles on the turntable. Hey, it was the 50's that was our fun back then, lol. She would make the recipe for the birthday cake out of the MM recipe book. It was a heavy yellow cake, if I remember correctly, it was called "Birthday Cake", lol. The recipe called for cake flour. That was foreign to us and probably expensive. My Ma would make an substitute, I can't remember the measurements but it was corn starch and AP flour. She passed in 2009 and still had that mixer in a drawer. The base was long gone. Good memories. I think I had most of the brands you named. I was a cake decorator back in the day and made wedding cakes out of my home. Thanks for posting.

Millions of the MixMaster models 10 were manufactured! Your mother had the first model with bowl-fit beaters! The use of all purpose flour and corn starch is a good substitute for cake flour. One can make a great cake using all purpose flour in place of cake flour but just removing two tablespoons for each cup of cake flour called for and sifting the flour before measuring.

Thanks Kevin and Maryanne. It was so neat to see that Westinghouse mixer my grandmother had. She had used it for so many Sunday mashed potatoes that it literally shook from left to right the whole time it was on. I got her a Kitchenaid during the 1980s and the Westinghouse was finally retired after about 40 years of service.

I really enjoy seeing the collections. Just because we never throw out anything, we have a Hamilton Beach Model G, a Sunbeam (the older model you demonstrated with juicer), a 1956 Kitchen Aid, and an AMC (Amcrest) mixer. The AMC looks a lot like the Wards Mixer and that makes sense. The AMC (Amcrest) mixer along with an AMC (Amcrest) frying pan came from Goldsmith's Department Store in Memphis. My grandmother worked there and gave these items to my Mom for Christmas. I inherited the Hamilton Beach Model G and use it on occasion. I works perfectly and brings back so many wonderful memories of being kid waiting to lick the beaters! Thanks very much for the video!

Hi Rob - sounds like you have a really nice collection of vintage mixers. I love the AMC from Goldsmith's! We had a department store here in Detroit that also carried AMC merchandise: J. L. Hudson's, and I have an AMC waffle iron and a few other things, but I've never seen a mixer. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I collect kitchenaid mixers,I have my grandmother’s that she bought in 1965.she is now 104 years old,and my daughter is named after her. I still use it for light duty jobs(ice cream,cookies etc) I also have a 5qt commercial model from the 80’s,it has the 350 watt motor and can handle double batches of bread dough with ease! The attachments are great,we use the pasta maker,cheese shredder and meat grinder often! Great video,thanks kevin and maryanne!

I have a1965 Kitchen Aid as well…has a beautiful Corning Glass Works for their Pyrex glass line mixing bowl…the 1965 3C. I have tried to tell my grandchildren how the modern Kitchen Aid is simply not the same as the old American made ones. Today the modern KitchenAid has plastic gears and if you try yo make whole grain breads they will strip the gears in no time. The Bosch Stand Mixers are the best and are not made in China. The average working life of a Bosch Mixer is between 18 and 25 years. The old mixers that are being mentioned in this video, can be refurbished if necessary but are still good for basic light duty…not for bread or even heavy cookie doughs. How do I know…..I have been collecting stand mixers for over 20 years and the Sunbeam has been made in China for many years. If you have a chance to research, you can see that Hamilton-Beach has been making appliances since Hamilton and Beach joined forces in 1961. The beautiful Hamilton-Beach bowls were originally made by the McKee Glass Company out of their beautiful clam broth glass…..later by Corning for their Pyrex line. Dormyer used bowls made by McKee Glass for their Glasbake line. Corning Glass was responsible for most of the glass mixer bowls. There are books available on appliances that give you all of this information. I have Sunbeam MixMasters from the 1940 version down to the 1976 version. I have the beautiful 1940’s version that has all Jadeite mixing bowls and the juicer is Jadite glass as well. I have almost all of the early Sunbeam MixMaster attachments including the butter churn and the 1957 Ice Cream Churn. A pride of my mixer collection is my 1930’s jadeite green Fitzgerald “Magic Maid” mixer along with all of the attachments that were available in the 1930’s including the Coffee Bean grinder. It is a beautiful old mixer.

There is even a book on Betty Crocker that gives you information on the Betty Crocker mixer. It is full of kitchen history.

Well that came to an abrupt end!!😁 I remember my mom only had hand mixers, at least I don't remember her having a stand mixer. Something tells me that if she did have one, she probably would have still had it when she passed away. She never got rid of anything! 😊 Take care!!

I have my grandmother's Sunbeam mixer that I'm sure is from 1950's. It still worked in early 1990's, I used when first married. Love Sunbeam! Better than any other brand. My mother's General Electric hand-held mixer is still going strong from 1958. And I bought several Sunbeams since my grandmother's. Unfortunately I tend to burn them up after few years, but they are best designed. Don't have to scrape down much, thoroughly mix anything making. I have 2 Kitchen Aid mixer (Artisan-horrible, & Professional 5qt that I do use, but not worth money. Can barely mix bread dough, have to let rest, gets hot.) Wish I could get grandmother 's Sunbeam going again. Sunbeam should make one with more powerful motor & they would own the market. Enjoyed your video very much!

Hi Carolyn - there used to be a couple of repair techs who worked on old Sunbeam mixers. I don't know if they are still around, but you may want to search online. Those old Sunbeams were built to be repaired when they would wear out. Thanks!

I have the chrome Sunbeam Mixmaster with stainless steel bowls that was shown. That was $10 well spent. Came with all bowls and accessories too.

The white Dormeyer was the top of the line in 1948, their first governor controlled model, the chrome one was late 50s, both wonderful i think.

Hi Kevin! Seems like everytime I watch your videos, I want one of what ever it is you're featuring. Yesterday it was an old pencil sharpener, today, a vintage stand mixer! I've only ever had or used a hand held mixer which I still have. It was a wedding present in 1975. Still works. I think I would make a lot more deserts if I had one of these! I'm going to start looking around at sales. Love the details you point out for each one. Great stuff! Thanks!

I have the second Sunbeam Mixmaster that you featured. It belonged to my late mother who put it to use frequently. Sadly, I don’t have any need to bake so I haven’t used it in years. I also have the juicer attachment for the mixer which I have used to juice lemons from my tree. I have the manual as well. My mother used to bang the beaters on the edge of the bowl to dislodge the batter causing both bowls to have many small chips. I hate to think of how much glass I ingested growing up.

I've been able to buy the Hamilton Beach stand mixer, Waring blender and Farberware skillet at the thrift stores (just like the ones you have). My mother wore out her Dormeyer . She made the best pound cakes. She would make one after supper on Friday nights so it wasn't out of the oven until late. WE stayed up late to have a warm piece around ten, Such good memories. Being a vintage fan I have a 1950's Kitchen Aid. My bee hive shaped bowls were made by Pyrex. It is beautiful condition and mixes well. Your video using an old KA made me want one also. thanks for this video.

Loved this one. I love all my stand mixers. My go to since finding it is an 80's Oster Regency Kitchen Center. It came with the food processor, slicer/shredder, blender, juicer, meat grinder, as well as the mixer. It works like a charm. It sits on my counter because, with all the attachments, it is something I can find a use for everyday when I cook. I was lucky enough to pick it up for $10 at a charity shop. If you ever see one check it out. I wish they still made them. Thank you for your channel!

Those are cool. I have wanted one but keep passing due to price, condition, missing items, etc. One day, perhaps. The 8' x 9' kitchen can only hold so much. They are fun.

I have a Hobart-made Kitchen-Aid that's my go-to mixer and a 1940s Mixmaster complete with juicer and its tin wire strainer that hooks onto the spout. Makes quick work of juicing oranges and lemons for spiced tea at Christmastime. I have a clear glass Kitchen-Aid bowl that works on my modern day Kitchen-Aid mixer as a second bowl. Also use a Hamilton Beach small bowl a lot for biscuits and cornbread. It was made by Pyrex and very sturdy. I destroyed my two small Mixmaster bowls making cornbread pouring the hot shortening in the batter. They disintegrated! My mom had the 1953 GE triple whip that looked like a freight train. My grandmother didn't have a stand mixer. Thanks for going to all the trouble to get those mixers down and show us how they work.

Hi Jonathan - those Hobart made KA mixers are hard to beat. I have a couple juicer attachments for the Mixmaster, but by the time I put all the pieces together it's easier to just use one of my juicers so I've never really tried it. SOme of those Triple-Whips did look like trains! Funny how many people got by just fine with a hand mixer and never had a stand mixer. Thanks!

i bought a sunbeam mixmaster stand mixer at a flea market for 5 dollars, i had to have it worked on and i bought new bowls and other parts. i love this old mixer it is as old as i am.

All I can say is WOW! We only had hand mixers when i was younger. I now own 2 vintage hand mixers. But now I would LOVE to have a vintage stand mixer. You have a fabulous mixer collection!

Earlier this year I picked KitchenAid k5A that was made by Hobart at a thrift shop. That Betty Crocker stad mixer you have is interesting. I have a fairly modern Betty Crocker hand mixer.

The Betty Crocker stand mixer was the first stand mixer to have a timer used to remind the operator to shut the mixer off or to perform the next step in executing a recipe. They were made from 1948 until 1956. Some were sold years later at stores having old stock. I have seen 1963 mixers stay on display in stores over 25 years before being sold.

This was great, I have a "thing" for electric mixers. My Mum got her first one when we got our farm connected to the mains electric supply in 1962. It was a pale grey, Kenwood Chefette A320 and I still have it today. It has seen a lot of use in it's time, doing all the baking for a busy farming family. In the early 1970s, Mum upgraded to a Kenwood Chef A701, that also had a lot of use and was only replaced about 7 years ago, with a current model. However, the quality is nowhere near the old British built ones. I have quite a collection of mainly, hand mixers, from a variety of makers, quite an amount of East German built AKA electric RG28 models among them. The first of these I bought new, in 1983 and is still doing it's thing, to this day. I have also a good few of the later Kenwood Chefettes, models A340, A360 and A380. I love your collection of old stuff, keep on collecting!

My Mom always had a Sunbeam hand mixer. They lasted back then. She only had three over the years. The last one was the harvest gold Sunbeam Mixmaster burst of power. Then my Dad got her a KitchenAid. I bought a KitchenAid when they were still part of Hobart. My sister got a KitchenAid after using mine for some kind of cake that had to mix for an hour. Hi Imperial - those Hobart-made Kitchen Aid mixers are real workhorses! Thanks!

I've been looking and needing a mixer but I couldn't make my mind up as too which one I need. or size. So I looked on Esty and found several antiques I still couldn't decide on just one, so I bought 2 vintage Sunbeam models similar to the one my mom had. Oldies but goodies. I paid less for the two than a new model costs. I'm sure my two new old models will out perform and outlast any new machine. Plus some sellers gave me discounts too. very nice of them.

Hi Gary! It sounds like you found a couple of nice vintage mixers! These were very well built, so I'm sure you will enjoy them for a long time! The Sunbeam Mixmasters are also easy to find replacement bowls and beaters for should you need to in the future. Enjoy!

My Grandma had a Sunbeam mixer. I thought I arrived when I was able to purchase a Kitchen Aid in 2004, my mixer is still going strong and I love it

I inherited a small mixer collection when a vacuum collector friend of mine passed away 8 years ago. It's gone and cause me to feel the need to add to it. I've added a couple more Hamilton Beaches, not found anymore Sunbeams that are old enough yet, though I have the turquoise one, and that's the one I really would want most anyway. I did manage to find a KitchenAid like the last on the shelf, and I was after a Hobart built one of any era.

Kevin the Wards was mid to late 60s but i dont know the exact years., These were basically sunbeams Vista with a different body.

I've had a few stand mixers over the years and I still have my first which is a Hamilton Beach model "C". I picked that one up when I worked at a thrift store in the mid 1990s. My "go to" mixer that has a permanent seat on my kitchen counter is my Kitchenaid model "G". Now talk about a heavy beast! My Kitchenaid can surely serve up a batch of snowy white whipped potatoes! I love it. My dream machine that I some day hope to own is a Kitchenaid model "H".

Your model G and your Grandmother's mixer are very similar in construction!

This was so impressive to see all those speed settings, adjustments, beater designs, and possible attachments. I learned a lot. They were heavy. I have some of the white and clear mixing bowls.

Great video! I have an older Sunbeam my mom gave me. Fun to see all the different mixers!

Love this demonstration. I grew up with a Hamilton Beach model H from 1954 and a 1977 yellow Sunbeam mixmaster model 17-a. I collect them now and have a 1949 Sunbeam model 9, model 10 from 1950, Bewitched model 12, green Brady Bunch model MMA, several from the 70's to now. Ha e some Hamilton Beach models too. I think the Hamilton Beach models worked better than the early Sunbeam models with the bowl control on the 1940's model g.

Grandma has a big kitchenaid stand mixer that has the bowl you would raise up. Was probably one of the first one i ever used. I bought mom a newer version and it gets called to duty when needed. Love all your wonderful videos Kevin and Marianne. Keep up the great work.

My mom did everything with a HAND mixer. She never had a stand mixer. Just goes to show, stand mixers are just an added luxury … as hand mixers were to those that did everything by hand

A stand mixer is very useful it you do lots of baking from scratch. A hand mixer is very helpful for batters, egg white whipping and whipping of cream & potatoes. To make cookies, candies and buttercream a stand mixer allows you to get more done in less time

Hi Lady Thyme - you are so right! A stand mixer was a real luxury for a lot of people. I think my mom used her hand mixer 90 percent of the time. If the hand mixer did the job, there was no need for something else! Thanks!

Bring back many memories of watching my granny with her sunbeam mixer, back in the 60's early 70's. She made a cake for every sunday diner in case company came. Every saturday, I was on a chair watching. That dial part with fins and the white body of the machine itself. I just cannot remember which exact version she had. The back def had the one slide button with the thing on back to move the beaters and a fixed bowl holder. I have a kitchen aid mixer my husband got me back in the 00's. Got to help with the pirogi & bread dough's. It makes such a small batch though And I often overload it so the dough goes up to where beaters attach, it leaks oil. I am just not happy with it. The attachments were so expensive, I never got them. But hate the prices of new ones. I have to control myself with only doing small batches or just do it the old fashioned why, by hand. Great for cookie or cake doughs though.

Sounds like your granny had a Mixmaster from the 50's. I know that some mixers don't have the capacity to do large batches of dough. The only mixer I've found that can handle larger quantities is the big Kitchen Aid, but these are expensive machines and heavy to move around. Thanks!

Hello Kevin the Montgomery ward mixer I believe was made by sunbeam the bowls are sunbeam and the beaters as well the sears Kenmore is a dormeyer just look at the beaters bill

The MW mixer is a Sunbeam V-14 MixMaster in disguise! same beaters & bowls, stand and motor with some cosmetic changes.

My mother had a Sunbeam mixer with a meat grinder attachment. I remember her using the meat grinder all the time. Must have a very powerful motor. My sister still has it and the white glass bowls.

So cool. As I recall the Sunbeam beaters had an inside and outside position and the outside beater had a nylon disk at the bottom to help turn the bowl I’ve had my kitchen aid mixer for 25 years. Always flawless

Hi Mark! You recall correctly - the Sunbeam had a rounded outer beater with the nylon button on the bottom and the inner beater was rectangular. Your Kitchen Aid should give you many more years of good service! Hope all is well! Thanks!

The "Mrs. Kelley" referenced at 27:15 was my grandmother. I can't say I have any specific memories of her using it, but she was an amazing cook and I'm certain that mixer would have seen its share of use in her kitchen and then some. I also seem to recall that my mother owned a near-exact hand (i.e., non-stand) equivalent to this, and I do remember that one better.

Love your collection of mixers I have always had Kenwood chefs here in the UK of which I have 6 the oldest from about 1957 I also have a mid 80's chrome mix master which I love as well

I have the Hamilton Beach you showed at 3:37 (with a juicer attachment!), which I found in my grandmother's house after she passed. It has always worked like a charm. I just had to replace the frayed electrical cord, which was no big deal. It's definitely a workhorse.

I discovered your channel last week. I was just wondering if your building is a museum. You mentioned a local radio program and studio. It is wonderful, whatever it is. So interesting. I’m really enjoying the channel. It reminds me of simpler happy times when life wasn’t so busy.

You have a great collection. I noticed you don't have any of the colored ones... green, yellow, etc. Most of the colored ones were later Sunbeams. I have the GE Triple Whip, and believe it or not, have a chrome Dormeyer not present in your collection. I love the last 3, the Kenmore with its classic name plate, the Monkey Wards... I try to buy everything MW, and the art deco streamline looking Betty Crocker. The Westinghouse has a unique look and I never see the old Kitchenaids at sales. Ok, all of them are great. The hand mixers below are beauties of many colors.

Hi bg147 - I don't have any stand mixers in colors, although I do have an older Kitchen Aid in avocado green. I rarely see any appliances in color in my part of Michigan. If I ever run across some in colors I'll add them to the collection. Sounds like you have some nice ones, especially that chrome Dormeyer! Thanks!

I have 3 old mixers. The oldest is a Magic Maid from 1934 with the original uranium glass bowl...still works too. The one I use the most is a Dormeyer I believe from the 40s or 50s? It's chrome and is missing the center cap (can't find anywhere!) The last is the Betty crocker one like you have I believe from the 50s. The motor burned up one day but I can't bring myself to get rid of it

Eurton Electric can rewind your old motor then it will be good as new

Howdy and hello, I also picked up a 1920's Hamilton Beach hand mixer and the cord was replaced with a modern cord which was something of a shame but the gadget works just the same.

I recently inherited a Montgomery Wards 2 bowl stand mixer white bowls

So cool. That one GE that is the triple whip looks like it's older then the 50s? I have those manuals one from the 30s, 40s, and the 50s. I have a white Sunbeam from the late 50s. I saw some in your collection and I think its similar to the chrome one you showed. I have a couple of hand mixers from the late 70s early 80s. One is a gold Sunbeam, and the other is off white with faux wood that I think is a Hamilton Beach. I only use the MixMaster. I would someday like to get a Kitchen Aid.

Hi Scooter! Sounds like you have a nice collection! GE made the triple whip for many years and the design changed a bit over time. I'm sure you'll find a Kitchen Aid someday! Enjoy your great old Mixmaster!

I believe I own an earlier model of the Sunbeam Mix Master. Bought it for $7 about 27 years ago. Used it until a beater broke. I want to find replacement beaters. It does need a new cord.

Hi Rocko - glad you enjoy the videos! Honestly, I've never put the beaters in the dishwasher. I have always washed them by hand. I don't know if all of the beater is stainless steel, so to be safe I have always handwashed. Thanks!

I got my first Sunbeam mixmaster last night at Goodwill for $12. It runs fine but is missing one of the beater/paddles. Missing parts seems to be normal with these finds.

Hi Mike - enjoy your "new" Mixmaster! Those beaters are not hard to find - check the thrift stores and often you'll find an orphan pair. For the older Mixmaster, one beater is rounded with a nylon button at the bottom (that goes on the outside) and the other is rectangular. You'll find the one you're missing. Enjoy!

I had an Oster kitchen center you could get all kind of attachments for.. I was sad when I was gifted a new kitchnaid and only use it not to offend the gift giver

When did you start collecting all those vintage stuff?? And kept it in well state .. Or do u buy them or some of them? I LOVE VINTAGE EVERYTHING !!

Howdy and hello, I would like to make a long comment about the mixers I have in my collection and they are a Modern mode mixer from the 1930's and a Hamilton Beach model D with manual and a few attachments that go along with it. And also I have two magic Maids from the 1930's, and a Power Maid and lastly a Oster Kitchen center from about the late 1960's early 1970's. Also let us not forget Universal mixers as well and they are from 1920's and I had a chance to get one but the cords were cut off and that did not sit too well with me. So on my next antiquing trip I will keep an eye for more old mixers and I have a couple of hand mixers and one is from the 1950's and the one that my mother used use from the 1970's. And I never forgot the cookies that she used to make and licking the batters when I was a boy. I am going to look for more attachments when I can.

You'll always be able to mix a cake........my mother had a GE but she used it as a hand mixer. The front was rounded with a metal plate with the speed information.

Your mother had a GE model 15 (one bowl) or model 25 (two bowls) They were made between 1956-1961)

maybe interesting General Mills made Lionel Trains from1970 - 1986, known as the MPC era, while not as collectible as original Lionel they were well made, durable, high quality toy trains, many collectors love this era because they're much less expensive to purchase than Lionel originals

Hello, but WW2 timeframe we had a SUNBEAM MIXMASTER, 2 BOWLS, , on the base was a lever, which placed the beaters, from middle to the bowl edge, this was in JAMAICA BWI, mom & dad made their own mayo, and other things, . . I bought my wife a LIFT BOWL 6 quart mixer, I had to move it for her as it was heavy , she passed away over a year now, so not sure when I’ll be using it 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Hi Brody - I'm doing this from memory, but I'm pretty sure those Mixmaster beaters have a cross cut on the end that goes into the mixer. The outside beater is rounded with a nylon button on the bottom and the inside beater is rectangular.

I was looking for my sunbeam mixmaster 12 speed infinite speed governor control in your collection. Can’t find intel on this machine, nevertheless, good video.

Sorry, I don't know the fix for that, but there are a lot of videos on KZread about Sunbeam Mixmasters - maybe one of the videos would be helpful.

I just purchased my first Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer from the thrift for $150 tonight. I saw it this morning and decided to come back to buy it, but the wisk attachment disappeared. I should have got it the first time before some jerk walked away with the whisk. 😭

Hi Mike - those whisk attachments are fairly available new or used online. Enjoy that "new" KA mixer!! There is a reason most accomplished bakers and cooks prefer that machine to others!

Also I read somewhere that Pyrex and other bearable glass is now missing the ingredients to make them really heat proof. Do you know anything about that? I have a sunbeam hand mixer fro 30 years ago. I do very much want a stand mixer. Thank you

Hi Lulu! Some of the older vintage mixers had strong motors, so they would probably still do a very good job. I don't know about Pyrex changing the formula of their glass - I hadn't heard about this. Thanks!
