Off-topic, but had to comment ~ Only clicked on the Sinatra Duet the other day from the 'On Television' box, and .. what a startling clean-up! I need that track in my library, now.

Yeah, that show sounds great from the new source! It recently got a single-disc release, as well, so if you can't get the full "On Television" set, look for the single disc one!
"CHARRO!" the movie was fair... "Charro" the song was/is great! 😎

Yep - the song was and is! I'd really love to see the original script, though, that'd be cool to see what got cut out!

I would LOVE to see that! The digital streaming copy out now is quite good, but wouldn't match the audiovisual fidelity of a great physical 4k release!
Loved Joe's work through the years,great book,on a different subject,I was playing my copy of "Elvis is Back" from 1960 and the speed sounded fast when compared to my first copy I bought in the early seventies when I was a kid,also,was surprised the seventies Vinyl had more bottom end and actually sounded better than the original,very odd!
Great vid of a great book. If I'm not mistaken, the Elvis stand-in on Charro was none other than Mr Jerry Schilling

@sincerelyelvispresley You know, I've actually read that (got it when it came out), but I haven't picked it up since I first did - I'll have to give it another read soon! 😁
I hope a fellow UK Elvis fan will back me up on this one. But incredibly, in 1985, BBC1 broadcast the movie on a saturday night. It featured the entire nude scene with Ina Balin getting up from the bathtub! I have no idea how this happened, but I pray that somebody else recalls this!

I think I saw that cut out scene on KZread,maybe as part of a music video someone made for the title song.

The Uk release had the nude scene - the US release had a longer branding scene - this was always said in the 70.s - I saw the film on TV as mentioned above… never thought any thing of it as I expected the nude scene as said .
