    I understand, but you really should go with a heavier guage, like a 12 gauge and shorter cord if you can. The 14 technically will work, but a lot of times, it's considered taboo to use 14 guage cords for larger items or extended periods. On the construction sites i worked, whenever one turned up, the owner would give it away or just cut it up and throw it away because of issues he had had in the past.

    Thanks for covering deflation, none of the other videos have so far. Didn't make the same mistake but it's as if the cover isn't even filling up, air's just escaping in several places but mainly at the end of the hose with the vents on the screw cover - still finagling with it though.

The booklet that came with mine was a parts list and cautions in several languages. The assembly instructions were poop. Also if you don’t mind me asking, how much has it increased your electric bill per month?

  • @EclecticIdeas

    @EclecticIdeas

    7 ай бұрын

    The chemical part I just clean the filter every other day and add 1” chlorine tabs. I think after some time no matter what you do you’ll need to drain it. For one thing the cover holds water and gets algae. I make sure I have a chlorine tab in our 320 gallon one. And I make sure that filter is rinsed and clean. If it’s not; I just get a new one. On the pool I wash them out. But here since it’s kinda a bathtub, I’m less frugal on filters with the spa. That filter is all that cleans the circulated water. Other thing is I never get in unless I shower. Any body oil will dirty it. Now, I kinda think of it as watering the grass and don’t worry much about it. 😋 As for the electric bill. Our spa is right out in the elements protected from no wind. So, I quit heating it when temps dropped below 50 degrees. One lady in the UK said about $50 a month for her and I’m not certain; but when outdoor temps are above 50 and heating the spa to 102 degrees I’d allow between $50-$100 a month. 102 was my fave temp! Not too hot; enough to relax muscles. 100 degrees isn’t bad, either! Thanks for watching! Enjoy your SaluSpa Monaco! I use a Kokido 110 spa vacuum to get up the pieces, too. It’s super easy to use, recharges and stands up in the corner like a broom.

    Hi since you’ve had your sos do you see a big jump in electricity cost? Do you keep yours heating all the time

  • @EclecticIdeas

    @EclecticIdeas

    In the warm summer not really that I noticed. When the temps dropped under 50 degrees I noticed a jump in the bill so now that it’s cold I tuned it off. And it takes a long time to get up to temp so when it’s colder that will cost even more. Now, if your tub is sheltered from the wind or has brick around it (like against the wall) or any kind of insulating; that may help. Notice I said “may.” If you can afford a bit extra, the jump wasn’t a huge issue.

    Hi another question lol .. does the chlorine tablet that you have give a powerful smell? I have a kid and I’m hoping it’s not too strong in smell or should I try to bromine tablets instead?

  • @EclecticIdeas

    @EclecticIdeas

    7 ай бұрын

    Chlorine tablets have a strong smell before I put them into the dispenser. Once in the dispenser the smell doesn’t seem strong to me; meaning, I can’t smell it in the water. I know nothing about bromine so I’m not qualified to advise on that. I do know that algae forms on the air bladder in the cover because the water pools in the lip that holds the air bladder inside it. For my baby, I want chlorine. That being said, I don’t know it’s the best advice! 😜 I use 1” chlorine tabs for the 320 gallon spa and 1 has been sufficient. When it’s not, I drain the spa!

    Well … make some snacks and get comfy. It takes time in warm weather. If it’s colder it takes longer! Plan on 24 hours. And if you remove the whole cover when you get in the temperature will drop some. Air bubbles will also drop the temp some so be prepared! It’s great at losing heat! And adding to your electric bill. 😂 I found 102 to be great. It soothes aches but not too hot. I heat at 104 but I set it to hold at 102. Heating takes patience and time. And if it’s on the padded mats I think that bit of insulation helps, too. Get ready to wait every time you wanna heat it! Have fun!
