Rich Buckler's work on Deathlok is some of the best art and writing of his career. All those X-Men Annuals are so entertaining, great stories and art; Marvel seemed to make an extra effort back then with Annuals, letting the creative teams take full advantage of the extra page count and those creators took advantage of it.

Agree with you on the Annuals, they were treated like Giant Size stories that couldn't be told in usual story arcs, but the quality was mostly top notch. Just re-read an interview with John Byrne in his The Art Of John Byrne published in 1980 where he talked about how Chris Claremont and he were thinking about a What If story where Magneto had formed the X-Men and they were toying with it as an Annual.

Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed the video, I'm still learning the KZread craft and trying different styles. I was worried there wasn't too much information on the books for this one and that I went through them too quickly.

Im also just starting my youtube channel and find myself either talking too fast or my mind goes blank to everything i want to say as soon as i start recording lol the important thing is your passion is coming through as you show of the books youve gotten and love, and so far you seem more comfortable with every video so keep it up!
Great haul !!! Been picking up some 2000ad keys recently myself :) Issue 150 is 1st Judge Anderson also 👍
