KZread recommended this video and I’m so impressed with what I just watched. What most impressed me, was your careful approach to disassembly, fabrication, and assembly. I would love to know how much time you spent on this, I’m sure it was a ton of effort! Keep it up Austin!

Amazing to see a project like this through, and the variety of skill set involved is impressive! You’ve got a new subscriber!
Man I’m always amazed watching you tear something down and put it back together. I think I’m even more impressed with your fabrication skills though. Awesome to see the vision come to life. You’re a talented dude. That’s an awesome Yota. I’d kill to have one that clean.

I 've had 2 toyota trucks. 1982, 2006 tacoma. They are by far the most reliable trucks I've ever had. Austin is amazing. He is a natural in front of the camera and a natural when working on vehicles. He is truly blessed.

I was already impressed at the powdercoating of the arms but then you shocked me with the engine swap. All the custom work done is amazing to watch. You have more patience and skill than I could ever imagine having. Bravo and wishing you nothing but the best 👏👏
You have some incredible automotive, fabrication, body & paint and welding skills...a true craftsman. Awesome job keeping the great generation of Tacomas on the road!

Thank you Austin. It is awesome to watch you work and see all of the thought and care you put into the details. It is inspiring to see the transformations take place. Keep it up and keep the videos coming.
Idk what I was more memorized by the truck or the thought in the back of my head how amazing it is that you make time and have the patience for this.
I have literally watch this video over and over again, well done Austin. I would be thrilled to have such a custom built truck. You truly are the definition of gifted hands. God bless you and preserve you always
I’m a reformed VW owner turned Toyota owner, but it’s hard to deny the performance benefits of the powertrain. Amazing work.
By far my favorite build series of your channel! Love your work man, keep up the great work, and thank you for all you do! Can't wait for the next project!
One one hand I'm impressed, but when I saw you take that TDI engine out of that Passat, my heart sunk a bit. Those are a dying breed. VW TDI Passat is probably the best driving vehicle I've ever owned. You got what the VW TDI community calls a 'bombproof' engine in your Tacoma now.
Bro as a full time mechanic.. this was so satisfying to watch. Congrats on the new truck man!!
This has been a phenomenal project and a true pleasure to see the amazing progress and special skills as well as amazing talent! Thank you for sharing this Austin, it has been truly enjoyable! We are really looking forward to the next chapter! 😁👍🏼
This is one of the best projects I’ve watched in many many years craftsmanship seem impecable and you can feel the pride in the project; just amazing!!!!

I only could work on restoring projects with my dad when I was young. Now I'm in something different field but I always loved doing those projects than my job. Your videos are inspiring thanks for your efforts
Honestly. Stumbled upon this channel months ago and what you are creating here is mindblowing. To the point where I feel like I should have done something much different career-wise. You have an amazing set of talents and skillsets. There is literally not a single part of a vehicle you cannot touch and improve.
I'm impressed with the skills of the build and the editing. Great job folks!

Amazing project 🤙 inspires me to start getting to work on my 3rd gen 4runner. Needs a lot of work and it’s overwhelming figuring out where to start haha.
Absolutely incredible skills for such a person so young.
Definitely have envious admiration of a young guy with these kind of skills in a home garage..meaning I wish I could do this, or even have the knowledge to plan something like this
Amazing Job We enjoyed every minute on that taco transformation Great job keep it up

Tus Modificaciones son exquicitas👌, amo este canal . Ojala algun dia pueda hacer trabajos como los que haces tu . Saludos desde El Salvador .
1st gen Tacomas are the best trucks ever built. This is a law of the universe and isn’t debatable.
This was an amazing video. Makes me sit here and think I could do that, doesn’t look that hard. Just shows how good you were at it because none of this was a small task.
This truck is amazing don’t get me wrong I love the 90s style Toyota pickups like big red and the other green Toyota that you build but this truck is special good job bro good content as always and awesome channel 🤙🏽

Absolutely unbelievable skills on display here. 11/10.
Not going to lie, that was amazing and very satisfying to watch. I can only imagine how you feel about the outcome. Great job man.
That was one of the most enjoyable 13:00 minutes I have spent in a while. You have some amazing skills. Did you keep the same housing for the transmission or was that a complete swap? How long did the entire build take?
@austinniemela

I did a 5 speed swap. Build took around 9 months! Thank you!!
TDI swapped Toyota? Interesting! I honestly don't think I've ever seen that before.

You know why cause there's no need to swap a great engine for a trash one.

@@louv409 The 1.9 TDI makes great power and torque for it's size and it is likely the most reliable engine in the entire history of engines, but whatever.
That’s an awesome build! Never seen a tdi swap into a yota before and now I am just jaw dropped. Started reading your build list and realized we are in the same zip code, keep it up brotha!
Dang Bro, from engine work, tig welding, making your own pipes, body work, painting and on top of that making your own mounts for a different motor !!!! I’m impressed!!!! NICE WORK!! That Taco is a BEAST!!!
Yea, but do you do your own oil changes??? 😂😂😂
Great build. I like the idea of the deisel in a tacoma, but in my book swapping the engine makes it not a tacoma. That's just me though. Other than that great work, truck turned out amazing

Thank you Mr Austin. Many tips we can learn from you. So peacefull, everything has the place in that. Good work.
hardwork, craftsmanship, dedication.. keep it up brother!!!
Your attention to detail is next level bud.
Cheers from Mexico !! Amazing transformation no question one of the best on the net. So much learned during the process
You are very talented as a mechanic, fabricator, body work, painter. I also know how to do all those things to an extent though what makes you different that the rest is your level of perfectionism and patience and pride in your work. I was blown away when you decided to sand a perfect clear and flow coat it AND THEN wetsand and polish... most people don't understand the amount of work that is in itself let alone everything else. my god man i wish we were best friends!!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous truck. I had that same 3400 engine in my 1997 T-100. Loved it.
The level of detail skill and patience you have is incredible
Dude this was the coolest video i have seen in I cant even remember how long. First time in awhile I have just sat and watched something without scrolling through the comments and shit at the same time. Amazing work!
I can tell just as much effort went into the production and it shows. Great video
I'm in love with this Tacoma
That is so cool to update automotive to the next level, wow!
Im speechless! This is really clean!!! Well done!!
Bro understood the assignment! Never a disappointment with your projects.
All I see is pure love, passion, and dedication.
absolutely loved every upload Austin thanks for being a slayer and documenting it all
You are like the complete mech dude. Mad mechanical skills, welding prowess and paneling genius. Awesome!!
Amazing work! Couldn’t stop watching this video!
You do some amazing fab work! Cool to see such quality work happening right here in town.
Wow, I've learned a lot from this video.......how much I lack patience
Unparalleled skills and love for the craft. Amazing build. 👏
I'm not even a car guy and I appreciate this. Great job
Doing what you love doing, shows through the whole series 👍🎯💥

Always loved your builds man, a jeep guy but the girl loves the 3rd gen 4runners so I checked ya out to do er up Now, probably a year later I finally got my hands on a 09 Tacoma TRD Offroad, let my build begin as well!
Very IMPRESSIVE!! you are a Yota GOD!! keep up the great work and keep it coming!!

Very impressed with your skills! This is one example of how good you are! Absolutely awesome work! Love it
That’s a proper rebuild. Nice work.
Idea for a t-shirt. You in an apron, oven mitts, hat on backwards holding an oven rack with whatever powder coat part that says " Wake and bake "
Need to go back and watch the series from the start. Epic transformation 💪😎👍🙏🔥

I love the devotion And not cutting corners
90's and 00's vehicles in clean shape will be worth a fortune with EV's becoming mainstream, it will be like luxury mechanical collectible watches. Very clean work. Hats off
