It’s amazing how these companies can bring a car back to life. Even brand new cars look so much better after a professional detail. The last few cars I bought new I asked the dealer to take only the necessary packaging off and not touch the car so the detailer could get is sorted. M saving up to have my 20 year old 996 detailed and ceramic coated as it makes cleaning so much easier. As always, great video Ped!

I have always been a lover of my cars being clean but since retirement and Covid and watching KZread and having two well known Scottish chemical & wax manufacturers on my doorstep my knowledge and arsenal of chemicals has increased as has my drive for near perfection on my own cars. I must be doing a half decent job as one of my cars is featured wearing a new wax creation on the manufacturers website. I know what a completely different level the guys who machine polish go to seeking perfection as I had my JCW two stage polished a couple of years ago and though I tried to help under the guidance of Michael the owner of the business I used it was not for me even though it looks effortless in the hands of these masters of the art. I have to comment that your car looks exquisite and the fleck in the black paint that is now visible is stunning. There were some stunning cars on display and yes I am of that era where I had both the Ferrari and the Countach on my bedroom wall but the guy who bought the Paggani and is covering up the Mexican themed paint is in my opinion, well maybe I should keep my thoughts to myself on that one. I do hope you keep your car clean going forward I for one will be watching. Enjoy.

I had a full external paint correction / detail done on my previous A4 S-Line Quattro Black Edition a few years ago at Reep Midlands in Leicester. The Misano Red paintwork absolutely popped after two days in the studio. The depth to the colour was stunning and made a then 8yo old car look better than new. Reep is now part of Topaz (since March ‘23) and now renamed Topaz Midlands Ltd.

You really gave you car a treat! These blokes are manic in their attention to detail(ing). (You and...) your car deserved the pampering! What a drool factory!, eh? Confections every where you look. If it helps: the Mexican flag is a vertical tri-colour of green, white and red somewhat similar to an Italian one. The Mexican flag has the country coat of arms in the centre of the white central stripe, and the green stripe is a tad darker than the Italian flag's green stripe. The flag on that lovely Huyra resembles a Cuban flag more closely. Aloha, Mr. Ped!

That is amazing mate. My 6 years old JCW could be doing with that type of pampering.

They guys at Topaz did a good job, especially considering the age of your car. I contacted them regarding getting work done to my car( normal one) and was very impressed with how they responded to my query and the advice they gave. If I ever get a new/relatively new car again, I will definitely take it to them for PPF.

The car looks excellent after the Topaz detail! It looks great and wears its 70k miles with pride and all those chips on the front and sides should be left as they are. Only 1 improvement could be a new under bonnet insulation liner imo.

I am just a guy in a shed who loves cars. I have a mate who is an excellent paint sprayer, he can blend paint like I blend eggs. He can blend mid panel and you would never know he had been there. His colour matching is unbelievable and he does this this almost while you wait. What takes a paint shop a couple of days to do, he completes in 2 hours. I have never seen the like but as he says, he's been doing it 40 years and it's no longer a mystery to him. The Mini looks great but you just know it will be business as usual in a few days. My advise, don't drive it.

I have a 2012 cooper s.. and it gets the full detailed wash every time, door shuts petrol cap, etc.. I have a passion for detailing and love it.. the black shines shame it has to get dirty ha ha

Looking lush and an awesome setup they have there 😎 What did they protect the car with after the polishing as you didn't mention that? 💎 Btw fallout remover isn't designed for use on tyres and is used after wheels are cleaned 👍 Don't forget I did the roof, engine bay, steering wheel and leather once upon a time 😉 Made me lol the bloke washing Ruby was wearing white trainers 😂 Be interesting to see what the products are like sometime 👌

Hello Peter! I’ll try to be quick! Was that Topaz Bristol? I thought Nabil would join you for the film. Tomorrow I HOPE we get a full dry day as I plan a total detailing on the Discovery Sport including applying a ceramic coating and full machine polishing…I have all the kit. Now this rubbish about sponges…it s NOT using a sponge that causes problems…any microfibre mitt is just as bad! It is using a rubbish sponge from B&Q and washing the car incorrectly. The claims of grit are only if you do it wrongly and a grit guard in the bucket, again shows that if you get grit then you are not cleaning it correctly. Use a good quality, soft, natural sponge and never allow it to be used unless flowing with water..gentle the dirt off but not scrub it! Don’t powerwash paintwork which makes e cringe that Topaz does that..use a free flowing hose and powerwash the underside or when applying foam..never for washing! I hope to return it to new again and on Thursday it gets a new dpf valve and replaced manifold diverter. After that…I’m still pondering but will see what Sytner have to tempt me! I’m pleased that Ruby is now gleaming…time to drive and enjoy. I might order some leather cleaner because mine gives a glossy finish and I think could be better. If it works out tomorrow, Doddery grey haired old man might take pictures and try a film!!😬🫣🫣😎😎😎😎😎Stay safe…❤️❤️❤️sponges!! Readers, I have been “detailing” since 1956 when helping my Dad to clean his 1942 VW…I have washed a lot of cars!!😀😀😀

Someone who claims to love cars saying I won’t be using a sponge again to clean her. Clearly most of the damage to the paint work self inflicted . With detailing being so huge in 2024 and people still using sponges to scratch the paint work, but I suppose if you’re fortunate enough to be able to get a +£1000 car wash done for free it doesn’t matter
