Unbelievable New Claim From Frank Dux - You Have To See This!
In this eye-opening KZread video titled "The Most Insane Thing Frank Dux Has Ever Said," dive into the mystifying world of Frank Dux, whose life reads like a Hollywood script-because it partly is. Known from the 1988 action film "Bloodsport," Dux's stories of secretive martial arts tournaments and covert military missions have stirred controversy and fascination alike. But how much of his narrative is grounded in reality, and how much is pure fabrication?
Join us as we backtrack to his early days, questioning the origins of his martial arts training and the truth behind his infamous victory at the Kumite. We dissect his military records and explore his claim to have been a masterful covert operative, juxtaposing these tales with documented facts that suggest a different story.
The video also tackles Dux's latest and most shocking claim, throwing it into the ongoing debate within the martial arts community about lineage and authenticity. We examine his assertion of being a Shaolin disciple and his self-declared invention of the term "Shidoshi," unraveling the layers of mystery that surround this polarizing figure.
If you're intrigued by tales that challenge the boundary between fact and fiction or enjoy debunking popular myths, check out our videos on "Steven Seagal vs Frank Dux | When Bullshido Masters Collide" and "Joe Rogan Is LYING About Bruce Lee & Steven Seagal." Here is my claim that Frank Dux (and I deliberately pronounce it like "Ducks", because **spits) is a fraud: 1. Ninja (忍者) is the acronym for the proper term, "Shinobinomono" (忍びの者), which literally translates to, "Hidden Person". It was an official government of Japan (during the Edo Period) euphemism for what is also known as the "Gardener Society" (お庭番 Oniwaban) which was founded by Ieyasu Tokugawa, in 1607, as a spy network to keep tabs on his vassal Daimyo. Basically the 16th century equivalent to a secret service. "忍者" did not get the modern "Ninja" pronunciation until the 1950's. Prior to the 1950's, it was still read as "Shinobinomono". *I doubt seriously that he was part of the Japanese secret service, which the Oniwaban actually still exists.* 2. Shinbinomono/Ninja were spies, and not fighters. Now, some samurai were Ninja, but not all ninja are warriors. 3. If you read the actual treatises of Shinobinomono from antiquity (which are available at The Tokyo National Museum", *NO PART Of Shinobi-Jutsu (Not ninjutsu which is a western creation) HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH FIGHTING!* The treatises has more to do with how to blend in with the environment... And by that, more like how to make something like a ghillie suit to hide in tall grasses, how to pretend to be a gardener or masseuse or a cook, in order to gain intelligence. Now, most people who worked for the government had to learn some kind of combat skill, but often that is cart before horse, because most people put in government positions in feudal Japan, and early modern Japan, *WERE SELECTED FROM VARIOUS DOJO, AND VETTED BEFORE RECRUITMENT.* anything other than this can not be proven and is utter crap 4. There is a fighting method known as Taijutsu (体術 which means "Body Methods") which is synonymous with both Jujitsu and Kempo, but is less of an umbrella term of martial arts than Bujutsu (武術 means "War method", and generic term meaning "Martial Arts"), which is often confused with the western concept of Ninjustsu. The reality is, Taijutsu became dominant after 1605, when Tokugawa banned civilian ownership of weapons, without Title (of being a samurai) or license from a samurai. Before this point, anyone can own a Katana or a gun. After the end of the Sengoku era, and at the beginning of the Edo period, Tokugawa noted how a rag tag of civilians with weapons can rise against the government, thus he banned weapons (The first known widespread gun ban in history). Because of all of this, Taijutsu such as Judo, sumo, karate, and Kempo became the popular arts learned by civilians, and any exemplars are selected for further training to become government officials. That all being said, *NO WAY IN HELL DID DUX KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT JAPANESE MARTIAL ARTS, THE HISTORY OF MARTIAL ARTS, AND IS A COMPLETE FRAUD!*

Frank Dux is almost certainly the greatest martial arts fraud of all time. I’ll cite a # of examples: 1. He never served in Vietnam; he enlisted after the war was over. 2. He was never deployed overseas-ever. 3. He received no specialized training-ever. 4. Dux would have us believe that the Government bypassed all the US special forces in order to send him, at 19, on secret missions, I guess due to his Ninja training. 5. He was never awarded the Medal of Honor, or any other medals, as per his official military records. 6. There’s a picture of him wearing the Army Medal of Honor. Dux, in fact, served just over four months active duty in the Marine Corps., not the Army. He claimed the military never explained why. 7. The FBI actually wanted the US Attorney to charge ‘The Secret Man’ with wearing fake military medals, which is against the US Code, aka Stolen Valor. 8. He was, however, referred to a psychological evaluation, for expressing ‘flighty & disconnected’ ideas. 9. He claims to have been appointed as a Russian Army Captain. Say what? 10. He never fought in the Kumite, but, probably, has some, minimal, martial arts training. 11. In fact, no Kumite never even happened in the Bahamas, according to Bahamas’ Minister of Sports. 12. The video of him ‘fighting’ in the Kumite was actually a French martial artist named Philippe Cadoret, competing in Taiwan, in 1986. 13. Mr. Cadoret’s son contacted Dux and threatened a lawsuit, unless he immediately removed the videos, which he subsequently did. 14. He claimed to have sold the sword, which he won at the Kumite, in order to rescue a boatload of children, who had been abducted by pirates. Yes, he actually said this! 15. The International Fighting Arts Association, which allegedly sponsored the Kumite, listed Dux’ home address as its international HQ. 16. His Kumite trophy was purchased at a local CA store. 17. No, Dux is not a Ninja. 18. Two friends, Richard Robinson, and Richard Bender, whom Dux asked to lie about having witnessed Dux’ fight in the Kumite, subsequently admitted lying for him and having fabricated the entire story. 19. He defeated 66 people in a tug of war! Yes, he actually said this! 20. He bilked hundreds, possibly thousands, of students out of their hard - earned money. NOT OK. 21. He never worked for the CIA, either directly or indirectly. 22. He claimed to have been personally recruited by the CIA Director, William Casey, in a bathroom. Yes, he actually said this. 23. Dux claims to have been a hit man for the CIA. If even remotely true, he’d never, ever disclose such. 24. Both the CIA & two US Army Generals, actually publicly called out his BS, which is rare for them to do. 25. The ‘Secret Man’, if real, would never publicly discuss his secret agent, black ops assignments. 26. His stories continually change; lies beget lies. 27. Dux has NO background in intelligence. Zip. 28. He claimed to have been gouged by a bayonet in the stomach on one such mission. 29. He claimed to have been recruited to assassinate Steven Segal. Say what, again? 30. His instructor never existed. He got the name Tiger Tanaka form a James Bond movie ‘You Only Live Twice’. 31. Zane Frazier, a legitimate MMA fighter and a real martial artist, body slammed Dux over a dispute regarding money. 32. Dux sued Jean Claude Van Damn, the LA Times, and Soldier of Fortune magazine for liable - all unsuccessful, frivolous lawsuits. 33. Dux allegedly challenged JCVD to fight on the ledge of a 20 - story building. 34. He’s fairly intelligent and is a very convincing liar. 35. Dux now wears dark glasses and the right side of his mouth droops. I feel he probably suffered a stroke. For this, I truly feel sorry for him. But he’s an ultimately a FRAUD & a LIAR.

My favorite Frank Dux story is the one where he asked his friend to drop him off outside of the woods one day. When he was dropped off he was carrying a duffel bag and gave the friend instructions to pick him up in a couple of days. When the friend came back to pick him up, Frank came out of the woods without the duffel bag, holding a trophy that was around the same size as the duffel bag, and claimed he had won the trophy in a secret martial arts tournament in the woods.

Everything Ive seen Seagal do, is Masterclass level in Output. As far as "Story Telling" goes, thats a whole different thing. Both of them are Malignant Narcissists.. and Narcissists are known for making up stories, exaggerating things, and or outright telling lies (And far worse). But Despite the Narcissists lies... they do tend to have developed some actual depth of skillsets. The level of development, is really depending on the individual... as some Narcissists are extremely lazy. Yet others... like Bruce Lee... worked his tail off, 24x7.

I knew a "that guy" when I was in my second phase of infantry training, what we called in the Canadian armed forces as "battle school". He made claims like he turned down a chance to be in the WWE because he was too hard core for them. That he was a pro race car driver. He supposidily had 16 middle names, was overweight and a professional body builder at the same time. We all knew he was full of it but it wasn't until he lied and said he played for team Canada in junior A rugby that he was caught red handed. Turned out one of our senior instructors on our course was friends with several people who were on the team during the time "that guy" claimed he played. So in front of the entire recruit course the instrcutor called his friend and on speaker phone asked him if he knew "that guy". His answer was no, that he never heard of him. "that guy" was so embarrassed for being called out, he put in his release and left. Though he's probably telling people he was black ops missions in the Congo and can't talk about it because "it's top secret"
There were 9 UFC tournaments before Dux turned 40. He was 37 when it began. Several UFC legends fought well into their 40s. A few fought in their 50s. Those early matches featured martial artists from most major fighting styles and very few rules, which was exactly what Frank Dux claims was his area of expertise. Why didn't he ever fight in the UFC? A guy with Frank's supposed ferocity and competitive spirit for no holds barred fighting would've found it impossible to resist what those early UFC fights were offering. There's just no way in hell that the ultimate badass, who supposedly once went AWOL from the military, because he simply couldn't resist the temptation to fight, wouldn't have somehow found a way to enter at least one UFC match in the early to mid-90s. It's inconceivable.

In today's world a Frank Duks couldn't happen. All veterans keep their eyes peeled for stolen valor these days and with the internet, our vision reaches very far. And I would bet that true martial artists know what they're seeing when they see it. So a guy like that can talk all he wants to and even write a book, but if his pile of bullspit raises him high enough to start talking about movie deals he'll wind up falling on his face. But that's just _my_ opinion.

Didn't work back then either. At the time the FBI wanted him charged and 2 Generals called him out on it. As old mate above said, people will believe anything if they want to despite having proof. Hell there are people to this day that still defend Dux. It's crazy.
Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻👊🏻
Can confirm his greatness . I fought alongside him in Vietnam , and i was one of the Kumite judges . His Ninja skills were sublime .
Nice long form content, Prince. Super cool to see this channel grow, too.
Watch "Hidalgo" starring Viggo Mortensen. He played Frank Hopkins, the Frank Dux of Horse Racing. That other Frank also claimed he had won a legendary competition... without proper proof.
Worlds biggest ego. Even bigger than Seagals. Congrats Frank
I studied and taught Martial Arts. I saw a lot of delusional people who thought they were going to go out and fight everyone who made them mad. I feel humility is a key in learning Martial Arts. I spent many evenings in class working on a section of kata that I couldn't get down. I was lucky to have a sensei that was willing to help me. Cool thing was after I learned the whole kata then he taught me how to actually apply it in a real world situation.

This is what I'm currently doing, except it's all through video until I can get Sifu over to teach a workshop. Once I get the form down, I have almost 4 hours of video showing potential applications of every move in the form.
You forgot to mention when sixteen year old Frank Dux was secretly training ninjutsu with Tiger Tanaka in Japan, he had to turn down his acceptance to Star Fleet Academy and break up with the beautiful, highly intelligent Mary Sue. She was naturally devastated, but Dux is such a selfless person and it was all a carefully calculated personal sacrifice. His ninja vanishing allowed Mary Sue to eventually become top of her class and save Earth from Klingons while Dux stayed behind to dismantle criminal syndicates from the shadows!
When you start your bragging by claiming false or stolen valour, it's time to tune out.
This is a great video. Glad I found your channel.
Great vid brother! Keep it up!
I was trained by a student of Frank Dux. He trained at Dux's studio in Sherman Oaks. After 22 years of bouncing, I'd say it's served me well.
Never had any old video record of Frank Dux fights, only in courtrooms where he lost repeatedly. John Claude Van Damme had highschool tournament videos. And even Steven Seagal have more credibility compared to Frank Dux
I'm starting to think Dux vs Hayes would be a battle of bullshido masters ... well, at least Hayes can actually introduce you to his teacher, a verifiably real person!
Thanks!
I was in the military and missing time is a sure sign of espionage and secret missions. That part I have to acknowledge.
Met the man at a tournament where he was a celebrity attendee. All I can say, he was totally cool, and gave me some valid pointers.

You mean like pointers for writing a fictional story?
i did a LOT of digging about frank dux years ago trying my best to credit SOMETHING to him being such a fan of bloodsport when i was a kid...dude lives in fantasyland. no one credible with even questionable evidence has come forth to support him, ever.
The way I laughed when you said " not a shred of evidence to back this up" which is actually true there's no evidence😅I feel like Dux is one of those guys that watched so much kung fu movies when he was young had a wild fantasy and decided to grow up and put all his fantasy in his head to reality, I mean reality in his own head 😅I don't believe he even is a solid martial artist I feel like he so passionate about martial arts that he never entered an official school he taught himself and got a little bit good and had enough martial arts training to con his way up to success

barely and it shows. His techniques look like he learned them from a video course.
If dux wasn't so old, I would challenge him to a real fight, hand to hand...

Don't do that I once fought him and got killed Luckily i survived, but i doubt the dragon balls can revive another one of his chillion victims
In all my time in and around the military, I've never met an actual badass who felt the need to tell anyone they were a badass. I only know I met a PJ because someone else told me; he never mentioned it, we talked about video games the hour or so we sat at the bar.
I met Frank Dux one time and he told me this was the greatest day of my life
He also defeated Shao Kahn, Goro and Shang Tsung, in a single day, to save the EarthRealm in Mortal Kombat! He's negotiating with Johnny Cage to play him in the movie! 😂😂😂😂 He also defeated The Rock AND Stone Cold in the SAME night to become the Undisputed Champion!
u just got a new sub. keep up the good work. Peace from Australia
One of our friends was a sergeant major surgeon in the Falklands war. He told us. He had to do a autopsy on his best friend. One day after his friend was killed in battles. Soldiers see burnt bodies of children and babies it does not matter how tough you are. Our brains throw night mares at you. If you are on watch. You will see soldiers coming at you. From the trees. Because our brains go over every thing that can happen
You know what happened to the last guy that badmouthed Dux? Exactly, nobody knows, except him of course. I was also in the Navy and he is definitely “ that guy” or the one you call “shipmate” and not by his name. You know what I mean! Great video, and great comments by everyone, they are hilarious!
Dux appears to have had a stroke.
Well done making the video, sir. I have subscribed.
Frank Dux’s Shidoshi is: No other than, Milli Vanilli!
I drew inspiration from the film Bloodsport. But even as a kid; Undefeated after 329 matches seemed to beg the question, Is he an alien or is there a bit of exaggeration here

Well i watched fighting sports as a kid and some champions held huge w streaks by fighting weaklings so i thought either he exaggerated or he achieved that record by fighting rookies

@@GarkKahn If you'd humor me. Let's say you have 2 individuals exactly the same. So it's ultimately the system (Excluding jujitsu) that determines victory. Do you have a pick? Between Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. I'm curious which you'd choose.
I want to know where he got those silly blue gi tops with the giant quilted shoulders, they look like stage outfits from Earth Wind & Fire circa 1977.

Segal and Dux should make a movie. You all know it’d actually be pretty great.

He claimed he couldn't compete as was hit by Zane Frazier , who hit him with brass knuckles in a sucker punch . Which is nonsense . But he's the same person who also claims the UFC was named after him , the ultimate fighter ! Rorian Gracie has said he never even heard of the guy , when he named the UFC .

It seems Frank Dux took the old saying, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" to the extreme... but hey, Bloodsport was definitely entertaining. So for that, I thank him for his turbo bullsh!t.
My mother knew Ian Fleming's wife and had met the ornithologist, James Bond, the name who was the namesake for the character, several times, and if Fleming had just named his characters after their real-life inspiration, it would be incredibly dangerous for that person.
Really looking forward to this …. And it was lovely meeting you on Saturday..thank you again and keep up the great work 🫶🏼🙌🏻

Just another Count Dante! 😵💫😬
What the hell!!! I was just thinking about finding some kind of documentary about this guy. Are you a mind reader?
The kumite & all that was kind of cool when I was 12 in the early 80s. It was a fun fantasy world & idea. All in all it didn't really hurt anyone and no one really believes it now. This was back when if you needed a cheat code for a video game you had to call all your friends as there was no internet. And we had entire magazines full of innuendo & adventure. I think it was more of a sign of the times.

When I was a kid I told some friends that if they felt an earthquake while they were over not to worry, because it was just me and He-Man picking up the whole house for exercise. We do it all the time, you see.

If you have not already, you should consider becoming an author. You'd be an amazing sportswriter in particular.
When I was still an active user of the Martial Arts Planet forums back in the day, Dux showed up in a thread about him. It was pretty entertaining to argue with him.
I think this provides an excellent example of the fluidity of life. For all the lies and bullshit that has come from Frank, if it wasn't for all that, we never would have gotten the martial arts masterpiece that was Bloodsport. It's further proof for me that something bad can lead to something good and vice versa.
He could of played a walter mitty character..
So glad this channel exists. Idk if anyone knows about the guy that duz seagal movie recaps but that combined with this hilarious fact check channel is insanely funny folx.
