THE TRAGEDY OF THE BEE GEE'S: The Youngest Brother (who had a Solo Career but occasionally joined the Group) was ANDY GIBB... He passed away in 1988, From a heart problem complicated by his History with Cocaine and Alcohol. The Oldest Brother (Barry) took it especially hard, as the last conversation with Andy ended in an argument. The Twins, Maurice and Robin passed away in 2003 and 2012 respectively, Maurice by Cardiac Arrest and Robin by Colon Cancer. There will never be a group like them ever again.

They have so many keyboards because their usual keyboard player was an octopus that the Aussies called Pussy. Pussy had the best touch in the business! However, that day, at the last minute, after they'd already set up for the show, they were told that they couldn't have Pussy play because in those days, there was no way that you could put a piano playing octopus named Pussy on TV! It was just a different time. So, they had a roadie stand in, and pretend to play, while Pussy was backstage playing with himself. Pussy's story is pretty common knowledge down under, but very few people outside of Australia know about that.

Time to hear their little brother ANDY GIBB! He's so incredibly handsome & yes, he's got that Bee Gee voice. He was in his prime, a rising star, when he tragically died just 5 days after his 30th Birthday. Barry was destroyed as he often said Maurice & Robin are twins (real twins) but Andy was mine 😢 Here's his most popular: "I Just Wanna Be Your Everything" "Shadow Dancing" "Don't Throw It All Away"

Ok so, 10 Keyboards....back then they were very limited on how they could "program" and use sequencers, to get the different sounds in a live setting, which was state of the art tech back then, which now can be easily built or programmed into just 2-4 keyboards, including a piano. Certain songs were played on certain keyboards already sequenced or tuned for those songs..and keyboards have always been at the forefront of the Bee Gees music, along with those stellar harmonies. So they were all useful, as well as looking bad ass!🙂

Phenomenal Bee Gees. Their fantastic voices, their heavenly harmonies and the fact that they wrote all their own music. 1000+ songs written for themselves and other top artists. Barry was lead in this song with Robin joining in. Maurice doing the falsetto adlibs. When recording this song their producer Arif Mardin asked if one of them could scream in tune at the end. Barry volunteered and discovered that he could actually sing in falsetto. In the studio recording it’s Barry who does the falsetto adlibs. After this they started writing songs for Barry’s falsetto. A fantastic song that showcases Barry’s falsetto is LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT from their 1979 Spirits Having Flown album. Great reaction, thank you. ❤❤❤

I'm a keyboardist/drummer myself-Got no clue why Blue Weaver (The one on the far right) has so many..I know the arrangement and can play it with 3.., The most I ever used was 4 while playing for a band that performed Pink Floyd tunes. It's possible he liked to have a differnet sound for every song and dosen't want to bother Switching modes on certain parts, like the time change in the middle. But Blue's soul/funk touch was a big part of thier 70's hits , so If that's what he liked to roll with...(keyboardist for Yes used 6-9 of 'em as well.) 3:48 I loved that about them as well--All 3 could sing lead and go anywhere from bass to falsetto with thier voices.

If you can, look for their "One Night Only" concert. In the middle of the set they go back to basics - just the 3 brothers, 1 guitar and a single microphone and they go through a medley of different tracks from their career. They do Nights on Broadway during this section and while Barry (the older brother) is most often the one singing high falsetto, on this track when they break into harmony it is Maurice (the one on the left with the beard, playing bass in this video) who absolutely nails the high part and as they step back from microphone you can see Robin (in the middle) look to his twin brother and give him a nod of appreciation. Absolutely spine chilling.

I was a touring keyboard player in the 70s and 80s. I used up to 5 keyboards at a gig. Back then they didn't have modular digital synthesizers, or they were not as well developed. If you wanted a good organ sound you used an organ. Same with a piano. I had a vocoder and a clavinet at one point. These days I'd probably use one master keyboard with several synth modules.

Thanks Bissbeautiful! This has always been one of my favorite songs over the years and you can't help but want to move, dance, sway, enjoy to that catchy/joyful beat. The Bee Gees brothers blended their voices together in legendary status indeed. But in my opinion, for this particular song, Barry owns the first part of the song with his deep voice, Robin owns the middle part with his unique voice, but I especially love the last quarter of the song when Maurice adds the falsetto after each line. For me, that falsetto (after Robin's and Barry's lines) makes this song so much more greater than it already would have been.

Bisscute to enjoy Robin Gibb's voice try 'I Started A Joke' 1997 then you will see his true talent. Also, Maurice was married at one point to LuLu a talented female artist. Also, they had a younger brother Andy Gibb who also sang (a image of Barry) one of his songs was 'Shadow Dancing' so much talent from one amazing family. Want to see the 4 brothers together watch 'You Should Be Dancing' from the movie 'Saturday Night Fever'.

They were literally a huge part of my growing up from a toddler to adulthood They first came to fame in the late sixties as the teen folk rock pop heartthrobs of the late sixties and spent the early seventies slowly evolving until finally in the mid late seventies becoming(deservedly so) the face of powerhouse disco 🪩 on up until the eighties till the disco lights started to fade and they just basically started doing whatever they wanted by then and I think they’d earned that right🫡👏That album that you just drew from was the precursor of probably the greatest part of their career! It’s called “Main Course” and the whole album is great!! My sister bought it for my birthday when I was in junior high school😁😆 I’m going on 59 now and I’ll never get tired of it!😊Enjoy Discovering Miss Bisscutie😘🤭✌️🫶

Actually, Barry, the one on the right, has the highest Falsetto voice. You can see that if you watch/listen to "Staying Alive." Thanks.

RECOMMEND: Andy Gibb. Song is Shadow Dancing. Andy was the youngest brother. Not part of Bee Gees.
