Muhammad was bom in the year 570, which is four years after his named father, Abduallah, died! Some might say, “How can a child be born four (4) years after his father's death?” The answer is simple. Abduallah was called his father, but he was not.

Bro...you are producing quality content Masha Allah would really appreciate if you can start doing 'Series' on different empires or Caliphates instead of just random videos e.g. Khilafat e Radhida, Umayyads, Abasids, Andulusia, Mamluks, Fatmids, Ottomans, Mughals etc. Do a playlist for each empire (just like you've done for Andulucia) which would give a more in depth knowledge in a structured way....i.e. Caliphs/Kings , major events and ahvaal of each empire There are lot of channels doing history but none has covered history for empires....think this as writing a history book but in the form of videos.. Will be an excellent resource to inspire and educate our youth Pls think...

@Kj_mast_er Well, technically the schism actually began to take place the moment when a group of umayyad forces killed one of Muhammad's grandson and his supporters at Karbala. It was before the conquest of spain. Some people even thinks that the schism started way before that, ever since Abu Bakr elected caliph. But to me, before karbala it was just a political dispute back then at the beginning. The event of Karbala is the thing that made many of the Alid sympathizer view that the Umayyad lost their legitimacy and the partisans of Ali started to evolve and diverge further and further from the mainstream Islam and developed their own theology and jurisprudence, then slowly transform into what we know today as shia.

Although ummayad caliphate had severe problems like racism (making even the muslim non-arabs pay jizya) and other issues you gotta admit it was much more glorious and proud than the abbasid one. In a matter of few decades they ruled from France to India and even managed to siege Constantinople twice. The abbasids borders were always shrinking. However big respect to both great leaders Umar ibn Abdulaziz and Harun Rashid.

The Ummayad rule was much less racist than Abbasid rule, The Ummayad gave the general ship of spain to it's conqueror Tariq ibn Ziyad who was a black berber. No Abbasid ever did that, The Ummayads taxed Iranians because Iranians disliked them always, because of Muawiyah's rivalry with Ali. Not to mention they tried to revolt sometimes. The Ummayad rule was possibly the best after Rashidun rule. Abbasids were initially very good but later became very luxurious, lethargic and racist to non arabs as well.

A branch of the Umayyads settled in Al-Andalus, in current Spain and Portugal, where Abd Al-Rahman (who claim to be the last Umayyad) became emir an his descendents later proclaimed the independent Caliphate of Cordoba. It´s traditionaly told in Spain tha the surname Benjumea cam from Ben-Umayyad and, in fact, some of the leaders of the morisco revolt used a variant of the surname Benjumea as a way of claim to be descendants of the Umayyad. But the fact is that, as far as I know nobody has been able to trace in documents a link between a Bejumea and a Ben-Umayyad.
