Trust me the bike is great. Trolling an Indian startup brand just because it is not affordable to them doesn't mean the product is bad. Yes it has a top speed limit but the ballastic mode is really rocket and nothing like any 250cc. An indian brand is launching a premium bike. We should be proud.

ather started in 2013, how many athee have you seen in 2017 or 2018?? They were only selling in Bangalore. They took their time and grew slowly. Ultraviolet has the same analogy and they're focusing on improving the product quality not like OLA. And based on the warranty that they provide is showing the confidence that they had for their product. I think the current pricing is justified

Really wish they will do some downgrading of the equipment and performance to create another version with a somewhat affordable price point in the near future. Not everybody needs this level of performance and tech, but they would surely want a long range. Also, every company needs a cash cow in the long run. Those are the products which actually help the company sustain and grow itself over the years.

@@tecnomaniac well, it's true for BMW. They came down to 300cc, didn't they? And Ducati was nearly bankrupt a few years ago. To the point that Bajaj was interested in buying them. Same thing happened with KTM and they are thriving now because of their partnership with Bajaj. Tesla started with model X, but model 3 is their bread and butter. No disrespect, but the customer base for the top models is usually very small. It's the mass market product which is again different for each brand, that really fills their coffers.

Now tell why would a person who likes to go fast want to buy an insanely expensive 200kilo battery which doesn't even go fast so I genuinely don't understand what you think downgrading a literal SPORTS bike would do any good?

Believe it or not, the product based business always sustains and thrives in the market unlike business based businesses! Ola vs Ather, Apple/Samsung vs Mi/Oppo/Vivo.., and many more. Any day you will definitely choose the companies which work on their products rather than cutting down on quality and services for the sake of lower cost and more profit margins. Amd the only reason you do so is because they bring new life changing invocations rather than working on gimmicks and fooling the less aware people. You willingly pay the premium and even go a step further by paying on tighter budgets for the sake of reliability, trust and quality. Just look into the case study of Boeing and you will realise.

Purchase price maybe the same, but in 5 years, how much will you end up spending on the other 2 bikes because of fuel? The only major cost for EVs is the brake replacement because of wear and tear. With such a high level of regen, you dont even have to worry about that.

GT650 - assuming best mileage of 25kmpl. Fuel cost 100rs. To drive 300kms would need around 1200rs of petrol. Meanwhile UV F77 - 10.1KWH battery needs 10.1 units of electricity to charge. So 70rs for 300 kms of travel. Would someone pay GT650 level price of a bike where the fuel cost is almost close to negligible?

@@ham_is_here it's not just the sound. ICE have a soul and you need to be in tune with them to drive them, especially in these older engines where you need to learn the rythm of the every year shift, every rev, and need to become one with the car. It's evident you are not a real car and/or bike enthusiast and have never driven/ ridden a real engine. No real man would choose this toy over a ICE

@@swaggychicken. Seems like being an Enthusiast or a "real man" are validations that everyone seeks in this society we live in. I have owned plenty of ICE two wheelers (RE Thunderbird, Apache 200) and a couple of 4 wheelers ( MS800, i10) over the past 9 years and I am happy to own an EV (Ather 450X) as well. i dont see the problem when EVs serve a general purpose of quick, fuss-free transportation to the office or grocery shopping. I dont need to be an "enthusiast" to be doing those. Do I? I see all these vehicles as different tools that serve different purposes. The Thunderbird for long rides, The Apache for long city rides, The Ather for short rides, the cars for carrying more people/ commuting even longer distances in comfort. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. I love both gear shifting and easy EV usage. All I ask is stop having a superiority complex over EVs.
