Thos is a refreshing video to see! Im still just getting into fishing, and ive wanted to try trout river/stream fishing, but often on YT i find that some creators act like if you dont have the perfect rod, reel, lures you're doing it wrong and need to know everything already. I get self concious and psych myself out. This is motivating me to get out there with what i have and see how it goes, learn on the fly

I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Get out there when you can with whatever you have. Catching those fish was nice but just the experience of wading down the river was well worth the trip. I’ve got another one coming out next week that might have a few more tips on things to look for when you go.

Looks like a lot of fun....imagine that on your 20ft fiberglass crappie pole. I have never fished for trout before. might have to try that one day. Good to see a new video.

Man just a few times here and there..work and grandkids have me so busy...boat has been acting up but hopefully I fixed it...gonna try close to home here on Lewisville lake maybe tomorrow.

Find the deep holes. I'm talking over 6' deep. Orange glitter power bait with a split shot about 12'' above your hook and let it drift to the bottom and you will find those 18'' rainbows and browns. Then you will have you a fight on your hands. I've caught some biggins that way in that same river your fishing in.

Lol they were speckled. I may have to give the kind your talking about a try as well. I went once in Texas city from shore and caught them on live shrimp. Good luck on your trip and thank you for the comment 👍
