Ultra Rare BSA Rocket III 5 Speed A75V Wahoo! TBT 12

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The rarest of the rare. Only a limited number of BSA Rocket III were produced and only 200-400 had the 5 speed transmission. This bike also sports the silver frame too. Wahoo!

I'm with you on your description of the bike - it is indeed a work of 🎨 art - just beautiful . . . And that's the best example I've seen in some time . . .

Next to the Hurricane this is the best motorcycle the BSA / Triumph factory made. And I agree it is art.

@@forgottenmotorcycles go ride a 650 Bonneville and then take a Trident 🔱 or Rocket 3 for a spin. You won't want to get back on the twin. The triple is sublime.

Apparently Triumph/BSA designed the Rocket 3 as the sporty version intended for Production Racing (that's why it has the twin downtube frame - designed to be more taught), but the Trident became more popular for that for some reason, which surprised the factory. Beautiful machine - but that Conical hub front brake was notoriously weak. I had a B50SS with that brake - ghastly thing, almost useless. Shame cos the bikes are brilliant through corners!

@@forgottenmotorcycles I believe the Trident had a cast lug frame and the BSA was a stronger lighter all welded frame. The T160 was based on the better Rocket 3 bike slanted engines and the all welded frame.

By extending the brake arms on the hub by one inch, conical hub braking force can be vastly improved.

Nice. Five speeds. Now get rid of the Amals and the Lucas Electrics, fix all the oil leaks and you might actually have something.
