I've always had a soft spot for magnus. The idea of a character that's sort of stuck in Optimus' shadow yet still has respect for him is really interesting. He's a perfect invers of starscream.

He keeps on getting hurt, one minute he loses a hand to Predaking, and the next he gets severely injured to Sky Linx. What is that big guy going through?

Never occurred to me just how often Magnus becomes a punching bag for the Decepticons until after I saw this, *DAMN.* But hey at least he's still a fav in the Transformers community. My personal fav has gotta be either G1 or TFP. Animated was really great too though IMO.

I agree because the series introduced a Rank both higher and lower than a Prime (Magnus > Prime > Minor etc). G1 fans may hate this, but I personally love this concept because Optimus prime would’ve become Optimus Magnus by the end of season 4 which was sadly cancelled…

I always felt Ultra Magnus I'm Animated was a glass cannon. Powerful weapon, but easily defeated. Starscream one shot him, and Shockwave hospitalized him, and according to season 4 info, he would've died from those wounds.

You see with Cliffjumper, in looking at the movies and shows only, he only died two times. Rachet and Ironhide died two times when looking at all the movies and shows released. Prowl had three deaths. 1986, Animated, Cyberverse.
