as a person who owned a boat you go where the fish are. I don't blame them one bit for parking there. The jetties are always like that. Its where the most fish will be.

Same thing happened to me and my 4 year old son. Found a spot him I and could fish together and maybe catch something. Boat rolls up with 3 fat over weight dudes casting across our lines.

A day like that packery would be so sick to go dive !

Just a friendly tip. You can easily make a measuring board from the frame of your cart. You can mark it with a marker or add a sticker ruler the square tubing. And lay the fish on that.

Yeah! I do have a measuring top on it but it has become degraded and hard to read over the years. Need to add a new one.

On the sheepies. Need a good wide gap hook. They will get the shank in the mouth better than the circle or true j hook.

I like a khale hook for them but those suckers are hard to get out of their mouths because the hook 'em so well. Might just need some better pliers I guess!

That’s odd man I normally fish bottom sweeper jigs or tog jigs for sheep (+10lbs fish) but if I’m fishing for meat (3-6lbs fish) I use Carolina rigs and strictly run circle hooks 2/o and don’t have an issue with them pulling the hook

With the circle hooks try using a snell knot or a loop knot if you arnt. It helps turn the hook into the jaw alot better

@ThresherFishing im from Australia and we have fish similar to sheepshead called bream they just arnt as big as sheep's but very similar habits feeding methods and teeth and I only use circle hooks these days with my go to being the mustad demons but I find a snell or a loop knot is a must otherwise the hook doesn't get the chance to do what it's designed for which is turn into the corner of the jaw

Coop, I know you know your fishing skills, but your stringer skills make me scream at my phone when I see you kill your fish goin thru the gills !!!! The stringer is to keep your fish alive and fresh, not dead and stiff...you kill it goin thru the gills !!! Punch thru the skin just before the lips, do the same to reds, trout...it keeps them alive and fresh You should have at least 3 stringers with you, so you don't stack too many fish... It's all good Coop, you'd know me if you saw me, we bumped into each other several times... I've been fishing 58 years now

...and FYI whenever I catch a small bass back home bear Austin...I always say..."It's a guy though."
