Loved the video as always. I just wanted to chip in, very late, on the Tern situation. When they are nesting, they are very protective of their nests and young, and will attempt to see off any threats that disturb their nest or the environment around them. Interestingly, many birds view our fluffy blimps as a predatory birds! So they think the Cinela is there to eat their young. 😂 Just a question of picking a better time of year, when theyre not nesting and vulnerable, and keeping a respectful distance from their nests/colony. And something other than a furry blimp might help!

What's the reason why you choose to use 8040 over 8020? Don't you feel like the cardioids don't pickup enough of the back sounds? Also isn't the single xlr cable stereo unbalanced? Doesn't that pose any problems in terms of magnetic interference?

Does anyone know how to fix this: so Basically I have an Olympus WS- 853 digital voice recorder, which I use for meetings and regular stuff, (although it's not as good as I thought it was despite being £85), I once recorded rain sound with it while outside just by using the handheld recorder alone but the noise capture was not the best of quality and the wind seemed to really mess up with the sound too. Does anyone have any suggestions for external microphones or other cheap but really good bits of equipment I could buy to fix the wind and quality problem especially when recording outside noise. If so I would really appreciate it 💛 if you could give full names of recommended products or equipment, or full details in advice. Thank you.
