8-9 years ago, me being a kid watching Brood Wars. I don't see this day happening. At all. And it does.
It may be dated, but there's an aesthetic to the original SC that never gets old for me. Kinda like Diablo 2. Graphically, it hasn't aged terribly well, but somehow I still find it to be a beautiful game :D

and here I am having probleme to beat the regular campaign! those guys are awesome!
Comparing Tastosis' commentary from this BW feature match to any of theirs from SC2 really makes me think they still have more respect and belief for BW as the superior game. I really wish BW had more force behind it
That anti-rush build at the end was impressive.
Caster: AND ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE-- BISUU!! Program Director: Go zoom in on the Asian guy! Control room guy: Which one? Program Director: Just choose one! They can't tell the difference!
The Tastosis casting here was super good, you can tell they’re hyped
That would be badass if they had a seperate TV screen just for Unit Profiles that are being clicked on by the observer. Just a bigass screen on the side with all the character faces
nice update~When the units fighting inside the Dark Swarm, have some glow effect!
you were my fav caster of all time. I was introduced to SC strat thru your vids.
Starcraft 1 still maintains that perfect balance for Protoss, that is rewarding to play when you can defend against the Zerg rushes and your end game army is the most epic of the 3 races. SC2 right now is in a big ball of mess where Zerg has a huge plethora of options from early harrassment to late game as well.

SC 1 is better than 2 but I'm still missing the Korean casters :')

@SleepyRickyC92
6 жыл бұрын
Some things got better, or easier, with Starcraft 2. Unit pathing and unit grouping for example. However Broodwar is still a classic and the difficulty of unit control really adds the to the skill ceiling.
@merek5380
6 жыл бұрын
Even the pathing is fixed by click spamming to constantly refresh the pathing. Its just another inhibition that actually folds into a mechanic to master. If your turning the corner of a piece of terrain and units stack up and you dont click spam the difference in pathing is huge managed vs. Unmanaged. Nothing is easy to do in BW. So styles of play really shine in what a player prioritizes their attention to as well as how how mechanically sound and fast they are at juggling all the micro macro.
@gtheavyy8543
6 жыл бұрын
Unit pathing and UI difficulties are not only a thing to master, they shift the overall mechanics. It's impossible to have effective deathballs in this game, and it also results in many inperfect (but very exciting) skirmishes. I like SC:BW much more
@TheChrcol
