Your squirrel house is not very good , it’s built wrong and you know nothing about squirrels. Whatever you do for a living it’s not carpentry . Your house is too high , no escape route , No pedestal . Why would you want a roof like that , it should be a flat roof pitched front to rear with some overhang for weather .The house should only be about ten inches high by eight inches wide by twelve inches deep . The pedestal should be about six to eight inches. The entrance hole should be about an inch above floor level with a rear exit hole for escape.
