Ultimate Kiteloops. Episode III. From heli-loops to megaloops.

You might have in average up to 25 hard crashes while learning megaloop due to lack of height. Avoid them by learning to jump high first.

You should nevereverever (голосом Криса Такера) abort the loop )) If you know what I’’m saying ))
My compliments!! Kitesurf it is a sport where is really difficult find someone able to explain you technicals details ....so it is really difficult to progress. 👏👏👏

One of the best tutorials I have ever watched. After having gone straight out as a beginner and tried a high powered kite loop in 40 mph winds, I now understand why my face still hurts and my teeth are still a little loose. Looking forward to getting back out on the water armed with a little knowledge. Great job brah.

Yes, that's a very interesting topic, uncovered so far. That's what I'll be filming now. I'm able to show how 18, 20, 22, 24 meters lines work with kiteloops. Freeride vs freestyle models also.
one extra MASSIVE TIP! only rotate/complete the first kiteloop say 340% not a full 360% or to 11 o,clock, This way when you push out the bar for the landing loop you will get more lift when you pull in. (soft landing) do this only if its a second kiteloop on landing/finishing. If your finishing/landing with a downloop, rotate the first kiteloop to just passed 360% say 1pm then pushout the bar. then pull in again, once again the landing will be soft. This method took me ages to figure out, and is not mentioned anywhere on line, so simple but saves your knees and ankles from hard landings.
Finally a video that helps me with landingloops
Best learning video ever

Hi Anton, I've only just found your channel, awesome videos :) You have an excellent and really impressive instructional technique and I hope you continue to develop these videos!!! The second part of this video really sums up the fundamentals of kiteloops for experienced kiters and is the most thorough explanation of how to kiteloop that I've ever seen :) I first attempted kiteloops about 18 years ago and failed badly, but I still have an addiction to megaloops and don't see myself stopping any time soon!!! I guess my pain could have been avoided if your KZread channel was around back then :) It would be great to see you create some videos that shows people how to perform a transition kiteloop, by looping the kite at the edge of the wind window and generating less power before attempting a normal kiteloop. As you would know, this would assist the person to understand the fundamentals of what the kite does as it loops and what they need to do with the bar. It helps the person to understand the force that can be generated by the kite and the transfer of energy when looping. I've found a transition loop at the edge of the window allows the kiter to understand how to gradually bring their kite closer and closer to the power zone and then, as they eventually start to feel more comfortable with the power, they can start increasing their height, they can start to vary both the height and the power as they feel more comfortable with each aspect, without the full commitment of a normal loop. I found this to be a good technique when teaching people to do their first loops as it built their confidence to go higher while still maintaining control of the power generated by their loop. The leap from the low safe zone identified in your video beyond the danger zone to the higher safe zone is often a step too far for some people to be able to take and I've found the transition kiteloop technique often helps people to take that next step. Keep up the great work, top quality instructional technique and videos, love your passion :)
Very good video.

I am trying kiteloops on my 10m FX right now and don't make further progress. After the loop I sink like a stone and crash. I guess I don't have the hight to enable the kite to catch me. Do you think that 10m is too big for kiteloops? I would also be interessted in the different loop characteristics between delta/bowkites vs. C- kites vs. Hybridkites. Whats is better or not so good for loops?

Have been waiting for this some time ! Thanks a lot Anton! Would just add 2 cents. Saw few guys looping the kite above 1.5m lets say around 4m . It wasn't proper megaloop rather the loop in the apex of jump. The kite caught them just fine. That being said, it was on fast turning FX.
@antonchernyshov8759
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! True, it's possible. I've included a note, that min 7 meters is for normal lines setups. For smaller kites and shorter lines this lever is lower.And yea, maybe FX is faster than others?)) Didn't try it, maybe. I've also seen some kite models looping (pivoting) super fast. Will try to cover this topic in the next vid.

Heey, nice to hear that, man)) Thanks for your words) Yes, it took me a while to finish ep. III, just because of that huge work I had to complete for Learning to fly series. Yeah, I'll probably post something about extra elements for powered loop, however, trying different kite models is on higher demand. I guess they asked for RPM several times. I also think to try some freeride models for powered loop.

@Anton does the 7m rule apply to all kites? does it apply to ozone C4?

Watched this brilliant video quite a few times by now and stumbled upon one detail: When you do the kiteloop, your bar is not fully sheeted in. Why is that an what is the effect compared to having it fully sheeted in?
@mikhailzhitnikov3715

With a bar not fully sheeted in kite loop is more compact. So you get the less yank and mistakes are less painful. I just start looping couple of weeks ago so touching this details right now )

Nice vid. I got you're learning to fly ep 1-2. Just wondering what you think about newer versions of the slingshot RPM for jumping? And eventually looping?
@antonchernyshov8759
6 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! No, I didn't try new versions of RPM, older ones tend soo much to stay closer to the center of the window. Even in the air, as soon as you lift off, they pull forward. And the loop was too wide, as I felt it. Just had that 7m new model of RPM when filming, it loops fast, good for powered loops, don't know anything about bigger sizes, unf.
@Nowindnokitenofun
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. They claim,, they fixed the forward pull with the freeride setting option on the newer versionen and the IRS bridle solution. But great to hear your impression. Keep up the good work and clear-cut explanations really helps grasp the concepts.
Hey mate i have both your videos on learning to fly, cheers 🍻 . Would you say the 7m safe zone still apply to modern looping kites like Orbit?
@viktorshvets9914
6 ай бұрын
No definitely no. Outdated info. I have orbits since 2020 and they are lovely for powered kiteloops. The yank is little and recovery is so quick. I can do loops at any height be it 2 4 or 6 meters.
Shot on Maasvlakte? Cool :)

True!) A cool spot, I love it! Was happy to film there. Damn cold in Dec though )))
GREAAAAT Anton! are you using the North Jaime?! how do you feel it?
@antonchernyshov8759
6 жыл бұрын
Hey! No, I have a North Select Textreme. It's super light, great flex, but tips are a bit too rounded for me. I would prefer more grip! All North boards are rounded for some reason though. More comfort, I suppose.
Right now, I'm experimenting with a method of doing very powerful kiteloops without jumping first. The vertical pull is enough to yank me out of the water 2 or 3 meters (according to surfr). In almost at the point where i can do that and still get the kite above to catch me in time. Even if it doesn't, it is fine because all the forces are dissipated through my high-speed horizontal travel. Anybody else tried this? I live in a very swelly area so bonus good feels when i can aim myself to land down a swell like a snowboard ramp.
Hey, this video is awesome and highly professional! Could you let me know the artist+title of the music starting at 9:20? Thank you!!

@antonchernyshov8759

True) A small Easter egg in the video) After couple of loops that guy was able to fix it.
Do I have to initiate the kiteloop at the highest point or a few sec before and why?
@antonchernyshov8759
3 жыл бұрын
Hi! It depends on what you want to achieve. Earlier you initiate, more faster and powered loop you will get, but with less height. However, if you wait to gain more height and start the loop at the apex, you have a serious chance to miss you "return flight" and land hard with no support. So, for powered loops I prefer to start it a bit earlier, before the apex, like 60-70% on the way up.

@@antonchernyshov8759 Thanks Anton for your answer! I was able to achieve my first "big air kiteloops" with your 3 tutorials and love it! 70% I crash because of missing skills and choppy water, but it doesn't hurt because the Kite catches me most of the times. Great work!
