I just figured out why I like you so much. My 44-year-old self has been trying to recapture my youth a little since my mom passed away in December. You remind me so much of Megan Follows from the Anne of Green Gables movies. Thank you for all your wonderfulness. I started my DIY lotions and potions journey many years ago by just watching KZread videos. Many creators either didn't give recipes or just seemed a little laxidaisy for me but when I came upon your videos it felt like you were a kindred spirit, and it was the best channel to learn from and your blog is amazing. I started out making your Egyptian magic balm and have been using your formulations like the hair pudding and chocolate hazelnut lotion for a while now. Someday I hope to be good enough to actually do the Formula Botanica courses. I have roots in Quebec and feel I am drawn to Canadian creators. There is just something special about how you put yourselves out there in the world. Sorry for the love letter of sorts but I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you do. Nettie

This is an awesome video, Marie. Thanks so much! May I ask a question about floral extracts? Can they be added if you are making a product that is heated up like a lotion candle? I looked on your encylopedia, could not find. They're not the cheapest, and I'd hate to waste them if they burn up and lose their benefits in the product. Thanks in advance! love your content ox

I'm a new subscriber & curious how you feel about magnesium oil body butters and if you have one? I lightly looked but also have TBI & my brain is tired. I'm so SUPER stoked to have found your channel 💓 I have a few more ingredients I need & on a disability budget so it may have to wait. But I Do have the basics & gonna start small (like you suggested) w/ a body butter. What is that you're using? A scale & a hot plate? What gadgets should I have bare minimum as a newbie on a budget? I can afford to waste the product I've bought, not complaining bc I LOVE pure Shea on my skin❤😂

I would like to reach out to you for a consultation and or recommendation on a custom divider for a soap mold I purchased to make a specific, emblematic soap design for a cultural-special event. I am afraid Im getting close to the deadline. Thank you #NC

Hi! I'm not sure I'm the best person to help with soap design as I'm really not much of a soap maker these days :) Instead, I'd recommend reaching out to my friend Belinda-she creates stunning soap designs and is available for 1-on-1s. You can learn more & book here: www.loveyoursuds.com/1-on-1-consulting.html. Happy making!

Hii, thank you for the video! ❤ I have a quick question. you use low molecular weight 1% hyaluronic acid gel, but I got 2%... What can I do? Should I add more glycerin/ aloe vera juice/ distilled water to lower the concentration? What do you recommend to do?

  • @HumblebeeAndMe

I suspect this is probably from an ingredient interaction since it happens when you add cream on top. If you happen to have a gelling ingredient that is sensitive to electrolytes in one formulation, and electrolytes in the other, that could do it.
