Ultimate Hammock Camping - Lake District UK via Slater Bridge & Cathedral Cave

Ultimate Hammock Camping - Lake District UK via Slater Bridge & Cathedral Cave
So back in the Lake District having a Hammock Camp at Hodge Close. We went via Slater Bridge and then Cathedral Cave.
It was a very wet and windy one as there were Met Office Thunderstorm warnings, all part of the fun though!!
I had all my own kit but Paul from A Cumbrian Lad Outdoors kindly lent me one of his hammocks to try. Loved it!
If you did like the video please give it a like it really helps me out and feel free to leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!!
Chris

    Such an awesome cave! I actually love when it rains at camp. It's just another one of Mother Natures' moods at the time. Especially love sleeping while it's raining. You guys really know how to eat out there on trail. Looked like a great time out in the woods spent with friends. You just can't beat it.

That pillar in the middle is mad huh 😱❤🤗 loved the film fact too, Chris Hemsworth was in that one I think! Some top notch tucker on offer too, pleased you didn't drop your burger, hou guys living the dream 🌭🍔❤👍 Great stuff with the hammocks, you really seemed to enjoy the experience too, top stuff guys! Hi Chris, great video. I subscribed as promised after bumping in to you the other day when you were doing the Pen y Fan horseshoe route. Are you releasing anything from that hike? Oh Hi Rob!! So glad you found the channel 😊 Yeah ive got that video done, already have one scheduled for when I camped on the Old Man Of Coniston for this afternoon then the Pen y Fan video will be the next one up after that. Haha well, I actually walked with her up to the top of the ridge and helped her with the last little bit, then we both walked along the whole ridge and I went back up Cord Du and Pen y Fan with her 😂😂 She came back to the road with me after then cycled back to Abergavenny. She did very well with that bike carrying it up everywhere haha Thanks again for the comment and it was great to meet you 👍🏻 ATB... Chris

    hey buddy, i want to know if i just want to camp at this place by myself, is it legit to have a bit of fire to keep me warm at night? like doing it in a ay that I leave no trace bhind.....

  • @theheightoflife

    @theheightoflife

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello Shoaib... I do apologise I have only just noticed this comment as I never had a notification for it from KZread, along with some others too. As long as you have permission from the land owner to have a fire and it is not straight on the ground to cause a fire scar you should be fine. You can even have a small controlled fire in a bushbox which is on a piece of slate. Just be very mindful of the direction of the wind and what trees are around etc as very hot embers can fly high. We didnt here as there are signs for no fires or bbqs so we didnt want to attract rangers plus we didnt need one as had good sleep systems. As long as you have the correct sleep system for the conditions you are in then you wont need a fire for warmth. I hope you enjoy any adventures you have and thank you so much for watching 😊👍🏻👍🏻
