I held off on getting the game before the steam early access release because of the price, hoped it would go down as I saw 50 euro as a "support the development price" but now for just a steam early access title, its too steep.

Wow thanks, managed to snag the code :D At least I can try the game even with the slightly high price, appreciate it!

@gryphon0468 That one is pretty good too, but Gettysburg is my favorite.
That price is insane especially given they’re making everyone pay full price when the British campaign arrives

Wait, they are?? I just assumed it would be included once it was complete
been waiting to play this but 50$ for Early Access is an insane ask
Eating food at a regular restaurant with a beer costs as much as this game. That meal is gone forever in one hour...

Agreed. Adjusted for inflation $45 in 2024 is the equivalent of $35. as long as Game-Labs doesn’t abandon the game (which they have yet to do) the consumer get your moneys worth in the end.

@@lovebus00 fair enough. Yeah UG:AR has a long ways to go, the one thing I think they really skimped on was sound.
The price is just mad. 50 euro while average salary in my country is 1100 is just too high. You can buy total war games for 35 where I live.
This game is not what I expected it to be for such an expensive price lol.
Looks like a cool game. Would consider at $20ish but not at that price. Absolute mad pricing.

Not just that, it's not really that worth it I'll be honest, It's a decent game and probably way better than Ultimate general civil war which I think is heavily overrated, but this game from what I've seen and heard is extremly reppetetive and doesn't nessecerly offerd much avenus or replayability with the british just sworming you and it becomes a point of cat and mouse, 20 dollars seems fair but mainly if the game can actually be improved, with new features, and expanded ones too.
@FordHoard

@@thehaus6998 Yeah, I'm nowhere near Boston, and the British just charge out at me at full speed like a Mongol horde and I can't do anything. Not very fun. And the battle maps are all bland forests with no markers or roads or anything.

@@thehaus6998you do realize most of the revolutionary war was literally the US forces playing cat and mouse with the British right?

@@TheCosmicGuy0111 Not like this though, here it's more of a weird cat and mouse, you need to cheese the AI, the AI deathstacks 19k on a single city and never move, and you gotta run around killing parties of 200-500 british men all over the place that get past your lines randomly, and you can't attack the british at a certain point due to the fact they will just spawn another and another stack of 8-12k men that you will never be in any shape or position to beat, the game is just counter productive, the cat and mouse in the american revolution was an actual cat and mouse, George washington moved around and established units, militias, and slowly rose to power by taking down many smaller british armies, and slowly rising in strengh however in this game you gotta cheese the AI so they won't gather 80k on you, you can't really advance from a certain point, you just gotta cheese, get money and wait, no gaining anything, just stupid british deathstacks.

@@thehaus6998 ah that’s fair then, I didn’t know the Brit’s in the game were death stacking 80k men lmfao.
Love the Ultimate General series! They've come a long way. But I can't help but to watch this and think what a great Roman-era game this engine could make. Little squares of men on a battlefield, maneuver, flanking, well-timed charges and morale. Managing formations, relieving the exhausted front lines, supporting with archers specialist auxiliaries... and a campaign map that spans Europe or several smaller campaigns (N. Africa, Gaul/Germania, and Macedonia for example. it could be a lot fun. The creator of the UG series is none other than "Darth Vader" the famous modder from the Total War Series. Hopefully he has plans to make more titles.
I'm not sure why folks are so upset about the price. If Game Labs and the developers of this game had been sheisty in the past, like more than a few AAA companies I could perhaps understand. But with how much I've played games like UG:CW and UA:AoS, 50 bucks is a fairly reasonable ask. Ideally I'd like them to make a good amount of money on this game so that they are incentivized to do a UG: Napoleon, an updated UG:CW, and honestly with the mechanics that they already have in the game I could even see a UG:WW1 type of game.
50 quid is ridiculous for EA but at least you get some value for your money, unlike most AAA games

Correct. It's comparable to an expensive bottle of wine or organic food. Yes, it's more expensive than the generic bullshit out there, but it's way better too. It's not meant for everyone right now.
Been watching your content for ages. Super excited to try this game out. Glad you’re finding a new niche now that total war historical titles are toast 😊 Keep up the solid content buddy.
Looks promising but NOT AT THAT PRICE!
Yeah agree with everyone else. I was excited for this game but $50 is crazy. There are too many other good games
I’m not buying it with that price lol
It is 50 Euro full price and 45 with the discount..... that's simply highway robbery this will never be a 50 euro game not even a 40 Euro game ... i know, bc i bought the big edition when they released it on xsolla.. it would be fine if priced between 30 - 35 euro...remember they will be shoving dlc's down your throat, and they will not be free ....

I'll wait until it's actually finished
50€ for early access..... Early access is not crowdfunding, find other ways for people to invest. If the game was finished, sure, but paying 50€ with a blind hope that the game "will be done in approximately 6 months", you can't expect people to say nothing about it...
I enjoyed the video. Hunter rifles have the lowest mele, but that boys must be great at shoting from dinstance. I want to see how the skirmishers could work with short Brown Bess, those have 50 reload, and good mele. I think they can fire two volleys and run
Got sent a couple keys & it’s great but I bought back in November. Game is so much fun.
Im from Chile and here it is for 20 USD. Fair price to me
I am enjoying the game, and i feel the smaller unit sizes promote some mobility. Only a couple of issues I'm finding so far. Like the camera on the battle map feels a little claustrophobic and drawing battle lines is harder than in CW
I pay 60 bucks or more the fill up my gas tank? Why is anyone whining about price!
I'm gonna download a pirated version for free.
Why didnt you give your infantry the brown besses earlier? The browncoats you start with a regulars, so its not like they have poor shooting stats.
You know, I was not expecting a RWBY cameo with Jaune Arc, but it is a pleasant surprise all the same.
is the pause « active » (can we give orders while paused?). thx
Wayyy wayyy too expensive... 20 bucks i feel would be a good price 👌
Tell that Greek malakas Darth Pushtii Vader to put down the souvlaki and finish his bloody game. Also where is the Multiplayer campaign? Just lazy :)
Now just imagine ultimate general Horus heresy
i always take Boston first then take the rest because Boston gives you 20000 dollars and i think 20 - 30 rep
I don't know what the F they smoked, but 50€ is mad price, for EA title.., not gonna buy it till it drops at least on 30€.
Oh my, another AAA game? Never trust AAA games. Look at the price!
Yall need to calm down with that price point on hood.

For that price nobody should even consider buying it, it's a buggy mess as of right now.
