So I take it -- even with 8bitdo controller (which I have, same color scheme as yours), you still had to use the Brook connecter for it to hook up to the Dreamcast itself?

Yes I had to use a Brook to hook it up to the Dreamcast as the Brook is a Bluetooth connector for it
While I prefer to pronounce 8bitdo the same way you do, and I find it totally logical, I had to ask 8Bitdo to tell me officially how to say 8Bitdo. Here is jimmyi from 8Bitdo’s reply: Greetings. 8BitDo EIGHT BIT DO I 'DO' 'DO' YOU REMEMBER? :P 'DO' something amazing. ^__^ Also, I grabbed an 8Bitdo pro2. Fantastic hardware. Runs on everything I have.

Makes me wonder why they model all their controllers after Nintendo and call the company something that looks like on paper that rhymes with what they modeled the controllers as but pronounce it different but oh well.... I'm wrong
