ABOUT US:
Welcome to our crazy life. We are a mom and dad that moved our two horse-crazy girls from the city to the country in 2020, right before Covid hit. So much has happened since then. We now live on a hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, peacocks, guinea fowl, ducks, bunnies, a livestock guardian dog and house dogs that are adjusting to country living. We have undertaken many renovations (both inside and outside), love sharing tips on how to repurpose items or do things on a budget, and are always looking for the next DIY project. Follow our horse journey and life on the farm as we vlog our daily lives with our animals.

Thanks 😊. I’m not sure if I’ve ever shown my jewelry or not, but I am always wearing it in the videos (earrings, necklaces, bracelets). I took a break from it for a couple of years when we moved to the farm and I was dealing with some medical issues, so shut my old website down. I am in the process of making a new website so I can get back to selling it. I can definitely show some of it in a video though. I love creating things and have always been into drawing, painting, crafting, design, etc. It is my outlet, which is part of why I love doing KZread.

@@cred5983 I will definitely do a video. I want to get a website up so I can sell the jewelry online and also some merch for anyone interested. Hopefully, I can grow our little KZread channel this year to help cover the expenses of running it, because we love doing it but right now it costs us more money than we make doing it. Once I make some money, my next purchase will definitely be a wireless microphone set so you guys can hear the lessons better. I know it is hard to hear what the instructors are saying. Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement since the beginning! We love our little KZread family! You guys are seriously the BEST!

It's ingenious and very well thought out. You were speaking about raccoons, but don't you have foxes or wolves over there? Geese are good protectors, they even attac strangers. Happy new year to all of you🎄💖

Plz build something to keep lauras goose and duck safe. The goose was attacked and injured and the first duck and goose died getting attacked by something.

Our goose got hurt while free ranging. Their stall is incredibly secure and warm and has kept them safe. He is a guardian goose that will attack and try to protect any animal he feels is a part of his family. Any animal free ranging will be at risk . As you know. Jen and Scott have lost chickens to foxes in the past while free ranging. In fact any animal is at risk living wild.

Yes, unfortunately it is impossible to safe guard against all predator attacks, no matter how well we try to protect them. There are lots of steps we can take to reduce the risks, but even the best coops and enclosures can be breeched by a determined predator. We just lost one of our Silkies a month or so ago….she was in her chicken run, Bear was on patrol, and we were around as well. We didn’t hear anything. I’ve been to Laura’s place and she actually has an amazing set-up for the goose and duck. I wish we had something like that.

@BarnBootsandCountryRoots the first duck and goose were provided no shelter at all. They got picked off quickly. I'm sure no one remembers the first set of duck and goose bc they were replaced the next day.

@coffeeandhorses7991 All of their animals have protection and shelter. I’ve been to their house on different occasions and have seen it myself. They honestly go above what many farmers do when it comes to the care and nutrition of their animals. Our channel isn’t going to be the place to discuss DaybyDay Vlogs or any other channel, but I just wanted to assure you that their animals are most definitely cared for and protected. Death and loss are part of owning animals and farming. It is devastating and the worst part, but unfortunately, there is not a single farmer on the planet who has not experienced it, because it is impossible to avoid. It doesn’t mean that the farmer has not made every effort to care for and protect their animals.
