Absolutely. Full transparency! We install IGL in our shop (and formerly Gloss It) and I do remind people that we are. If I find something better that works, I'm absolutely using it. Griots is a great example.

So far I've ve used griot's ceramic severe headlight kit, 3in1, wash & coat, & am getting ready to use their ceramic trim wipes. I've been extremely impressed with their ceramic products. I was able to use just 75% of a 3in1 bottle to put one layer on a class 8 RV. It drove in the rain & bugs from Louisiana to Florida & was still the cleanest RV on the beach. I dont have an update on the wash & coat I sprayed on, dwelled for 2 mins, & rinsed off a Cadillac (did may 14th) but the 2 months I know it's lasted....for that kind of application is ridiculous. If a person puts in the work & does their prep work correctly, their headlight kit gives insane results. Thank you for doing these tests for us. You are helping people make better buying decisions!

Thanks for this test, Scott! I put Griot's 3-in-1 on my Mazda6 about 2 months ago, and having been alternating Griot's Ceramic Speed Shine and Total Detailing Kinetic as a drying aid when I wash it every 2 weeks. Good to know I can expect some pretty good longevity out of it. It certainly brings out the gloss and slickness!

Arizona here. I switched from the Turtle Wax products to Griots 3 in 1 and the results have been fantastic. The water beading has been relentless over many washes. Thanks for turning me onto the product.

I have used Griots on a number of vehicles and find it to be a great product. On my personal car that sits outside all the time I put Griots 3 in1 on about eight months ago. I have yet to hand wash it because it provides such a slick coating. I use a foam cannon then rinse it, use a blower and then towel dry and I’m good to go Thanks for all the great videos Scott!

Griot’s works great in rainy Washington. Keeps black cars looking nice. It does not last a year, maybe 4 months in the rainy season and it needs to be topped off. I use it as a drying aid to get it back to perfection. Thanks for the great data!

I've gone with Griot's 3 in 1 as my base offering in my details. For the cost of a gallon from Autogeek it doesn't make sense to go cheaper or to upcharge from a "cheap" 3 month wax to the Griot's. So, for my repeat customers I know it will still be on there and it makes my life easier. Thanks for taking all the hard work and b.s. out of figuring this stuff out.

Man, I can't stand the "My Product Sucks" commercial! Yes! It sucks! I am really enjoying this longevity test! the Gloss it and the 3in1 seems to be a very nice balance of durability and gloss which is something I think we are all on the quest for. But 3in1 is a super value at $19.99! I dont know how the get that wax component to bond an become very durable but they did it. I'm glad you kept this test alive!

Love your content Scott! Would be interesting if on your next test. U dedicate two panels to turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray. On one panel just give it a coat. On the second give it a coat, then a second coat a day after? I find that one coat barely nets me 2-3 months. But now that I’m using two coats, I’m getting near 8-10 months!

Started using griots 3n1 after watching your videos. So glad I did. Its amazingly wonderful. Just continues to bead up and shine.

Great videos! I bought the Turtle Wax Ceramic after watching Project Farms test. I love his videos, but it only lasted 2-3 months on my car. Never used it again. Nothing beats your true longitudinal tests!

I’m a believer in Griots 3-1. For the price, ease of application, versatility, and longevity for the effort it is really hard to beat. I put only 1 coat on my daily (plastic, all glass, rubber seals and trim, paint) in May and all I’ve had to do is give a good hand wash every couple of months or so to unclog it. It does a great job of keeping the black textured plastics dark and rich looking as well. It sits outside in San Antonio. This weekend I’m doing 2 full coats on everything again and expect to be good until next October. My weekend car got 2 coats in May and since it stays inside, I just do a pressure wash and really haven’t had to do a touch wash. Very good for preventing any scratches. With how much product I’ve used, I’m going to estimate 15-20 coats from one bottle. It’s a winner for sure

I bought Griots about halfway through your test. Used it on my car and truck and couldn't be happier so far. Glad it is holding up for a full year on your test. Thanks for the videos!

Scott as always a Great review. I used Griot’s three and one on a customers car one year ago. After a full prep I applied one coat then let it sit overnight and then applied a second coat. This is on a car that sits out year-round. After one year it still looks great and it’s beading up water nicely.

@@Gretzky2857 Yes use a clay bar (or clay mitt, much easier and faster) with lubrication (Car wash soap and water is fine), then polish. Then apply one light coat of Griot’s three in one ceramic wax. You can also apply a second coat 24 hours later for even more durability.

I have used the Griots since it came out, it is around $20 now, I live in the PNW and constant rain, I am also in Utah at 95degrees. It has held up perfectly. 5 stars. I really appreciate your reviews, honesty is rare on the internet. I'm glad you are not an "Organizer".

I put griots garage on my girlfriends car here in Vancouver Washington, it's been about a month and gone through 4 washes, had a bunch of ash land on it from fires, still performing just as good as day 1. I put 2 coats on. 24 hours in between. Im extreamly happy with the price, and ease of the product .

Before you recycle the hood, can you take gloss readings and compare them to how they were at the start of the test?

Wish i saw this review sooner. I just invested in Torque Ceramic and just applied to my truck today. I hope I made the right decision.

I've used quite few ceramics on different vehicles and hands down for under $20 Groits 3in1 and their ceramic speed shine is the best product out of all of them!!!! Mine continues to hold up in the deserts of Las Vegas for well over a year now

Great test. I ended up getting the Adam’s Graphene spray on graphene and hopefully it holds up well. It was very easy to apply and gave paint a nice gloss and added depth.

Decon and or clay but with same soap you've been using for lube so it doesnt add anything in the way of hydrophobics

OP Spotless really wakes up sprays and coatings , I’ll say it again. The mineral remover really cleans up a product. Great way to clean up a clogged or old layer of protection. Then reapply as mentioned.

I'm a fan of your videos, Scott. I've gone through the entire set for a few of your tests now. I had never even heard of "ceramic coating" until like mid August, I've since watched probably going on 40 hours of various videos. After the first few vids I bought the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Spray, followed some of the various video's directions on how to properly wash (I didn't even know Iron Remover was a thing two months ago) and used it and my old cars look better than ever. I've been thinking the same thing you say at the 5:20 mark - I can just use a couple early coats of these better low cost sprays and just touch it up every couple months and get in the ballpark of a real ceramic coating. Your thoughts?

Much appreciated! You'll love it. The cooler and dryer you can apply it, the easier it will be. It can streak of applied in hot and humid temps. (I.E. apply in early morning or late evening if you live in warm weather)

Great video. You save me alot of time and money with these vids. Plus, it's also fascinating to see which product holds up. Thanks for all the great work. As a suggestion, I think you could take the winners and keep going with them. For example, in the next test, you can put all the winners in one corner. Test as usual, If in a year, they winners still hold up, keep them, and clay the rest of the hood, add other products and keep going.

Fantastic idea!

Hit the hood with OP Spotless, fully clean out the pores to see if the week or failed sprays come back. I have found Spotless is more for cleaning the pores of a coating, not so much for waterspots.

Griot's has been aces for me for several months, still working flawlessly. I live up in Massachusetts. I will might reapply before winter, but it might be a good test on my own to see how it holds up during the winter.

@@derek723 no issues, just shake well, small over lapping areas, clean dry micro fiber cloth, get a fresh cloth once one becomes damp.

Great review, The griots looks great for the price and I can pick it up at a local store. I live right down the street from the gloss it store/ headquarters and can get their spray for a very good price. From these two products which one is the easiest to apply. Do I have to buy a specific wash foam/ shampoo or anything like that before I apply it?

Scott, thanks for your testing! I have put 3 in 1 Griot's on 4 different cars, but I do not know the longevity (not my cars)? However, I am planning on using Griot's on my coated cars sometime this fall? I received, last month, in my Glovebox subscription, a ceramic coating, I am plan on applying here in the midwest. We have have hot days , not as many, and we have have extreme cold days, probably more here in the midwest. I will apply the 3 in 1 to my cars after they are coated (2 coats), and 1 application of their spray detailer, then I will apply one or two layers of the 3 in 1?

In watching a Chicago Auto Pro video of a similar type of test they dried the surface with a towel after washing and rinsing and it made a difference in the way the products seemed to perform. Maybe give that a shot and see what happens.

I have used 3-in-1 extensively in north San Antonio. My cars see the worst of the climate as they’re driveway kept and under heavy oak. With a 3300psi pressure washer alone (40* nozzle and no soap), my cars instantly light-up with great beading. I usually follow up with a topper, but with this product I’m less inclined-to. Just a fast chamois. I actually parallel Griots to Fusso. Not in durability but in application considerations. Of course following their instructions suggests 3-in-1 is simple, but it does take practice to master. Also, wear a basic mask for the sake of aerosols; they bothered me hours after despite being outdoors. It’s a great product for the money. Really looks like glass when you apply it right, and to a truly-prepped finish.

Use the hood for a car soap test. Specifically car soaps that one can find at Walmart or at a local auto parts store, to see which soap knocks off more dirt, and gives more gloss and slickness to the hood.

Griots is great. Hood, roof, and trunk will need touch ups if driving, but the ease of use is enough for me since I’m constantly washing my car with dusty dry area.

Old guy here, used Simonize and compound back in the day. Moved on to try Mother's, Meguiars, and a few other things. Griots products are the best I've ever used. Love the Ceramic 3 in one wax, and the Ceramic Quick detailer.

Albuquerque here. I apply the turtle wax spring and fall on my garaged daily driver, and that works fine. Very good value. I might use the Griot's next and stretch that to once a year. Project Farm did an interesting stress test on ceramic coatings, so perhaps you can get an idea from that video on what to do with your hood to stress test it before you strip it.

Agree the turtle wax was a surprise it works great and is cheap I change to the Adam’s and now gonna try the griot’s but the turtle wax worked well for me

@@Woody103 My comment is 2 years old now, so I've tried the Turtle Wax and am now using Griots. I don't really notice a difference. If anything the Turtle Wax was marginally better.

I'm not sure I.saw the hood dry up close after all this time? Is geiots still slick. Are there water spots on any of them?

I just put Griots on one of my airplane wings as an experiment. I’m excited to see how it does.

After looking back to your application video is this the performance of griots 3 in 1 with only a single coat?

Griots is still going strong on 3 vehicles I own. Multiple cars ashes through my touch less automatic washes. It has made my cars very easy to clean even using just touch less washing.

Would definitely be a great idea. Anything to make it a better surface to adhere to will always help. Even something like a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution before installing it works great, and it's cheap. 70% store bought IPA diluted in half with (preferably) distilled water.

Is it possible to have a test going for dark matte paint? There is no information out there are now these products work on my paint from what I can find.
