When they're breathing heavy that means they're stressed out.

I know this is controversial.. but I think that seeing them moving all over the place and crashing to things cuz of he itchy skin must be better to help them out for sure. Maybe when I get one I’ll get to help them too 😉

Don’t. That is pulling their SKIN, it’s not shed yet.

I think that if you’re gentle and cause the little animal no pain, and only remove the skin when it’s ready, he’ll probably be really grateful to have his itchies scratched. Just because beardies in the wild don’t have humans to remove their sheds doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t. If we’re careful, it’s a service we can provide that will prevent them from injuring themselves.

That’s something I don’t do I just let my period dragon get it off on her own I give her warm baths to help that would be too much of a risk for me to do is pull skin off you could damage skin

i agree, i had a bearded dragon but i had to get rid of her cause i have bad ocd so i would pick her skin before it was supposed to come off. But i do think its important to help them shed their faces (once its ready to comeoff)

That is skin, not shed. The shed wasn’t ready and was still part of the skin.

@Brittany Anne Murphy 🌸 then why wouldn't he run away? That would be painful and I'm not restraining him?
