I too was excited like you I got mine today I spent an hour setting it up. Then it kept wanting me to do IMU calibration every time I did one2 seconds later it wanted me to do a fucking another one it is the biggest piece of crap I have ever come across I flew it in my living room for about two minutes then when I went to land it just nearly smacked against the carpet but I pulled it up in time and landed it as gently as I could. How on earth can accompany put out a drone like that and ask for the money they’re asking for it it’s not even worth one dollar it’s worthless. I’ve put everything back on including stickers that I removed carefully put everything back in its original packaging put it back in the box and send them an email. If they don’t refund my money it will be a PayPal dispute. It’s false advertising it doesn’t do what the advert says and compare to DJI where you just take it out of the box do a firmware update calibrate Gimble compass and go and have some fun and film some cool shit this thing I wouldn’t trust taking it outdoors I don’t think it would let me get 10 m before it wanted another calibration of something what a load of garbage.

@@videoskraemer1068 it does not fly well anyway I do not trust the thing it has a mind of it’s own. I feel like the drone is going to do something stupid at any time. For instance when you go to land I think I’ve already said this no bottom sensors working it literally crash lands. I am sending mine back it doesn’t do what it’s advertised I bought it through eBay so it’s faulty and it’s not as described so I shouldn’t have any problem getting my money back.

Was so excited for the nano but didn’t live up to expectations I would much prefer to trust what my drone is going to do when I command it I don’t trust and then I have one but it has gone back now and goodbye to it just waiting for the refund. In the meantime I also went out and spend the extra money that I should’ve done in to start with and bought the air 2s. I took it for a first flight today OMG love it love it love it.

I actually got my first high wind alert with my mini 2 after a year of flying….great video thanks for sharing

Must be calm where you fly. I got mine on the first day, pooped myself and brought it home. Now I just fly on LOL

That's a Win , Win situation you can't lose. The only mini drone that will out perform the mighty mini 2 is gonna be the mini 3 no doubt about it. What good is a drone with poor flight performance and a great camera.

I'm DJI brand loyal and had no intention of purchasing the Autel Nano anyway, but a very convincing wind test comparison of the two nevertheless. Thank you.

I don't fly in Hurricanes (Rigid Job Site Blower 105MPH), I fly the DJI Air 2S, DJI Mini 2 and the Autel Nano +. I always check the UAV App for current weather conditions and once winds at 150 feet reach 26MPH, I don't fly. I can't afford to lose any drone because of wind, rain, snow or cold. Your demo was helpful for those looking at the Nano +, I too wish it were better in wind and had a little more speed in Sport Mode, but I can live with it's as well as my other drones limitations. Basically, from all that I've seen, and witnessed first hand, I could almost never fly the Nano plus in Ireland, it has absolutely terrible wind resistance

@@DroneViewsMedia I agree, if you live in a place where you have constant winds that make the Nano or Nano + hard to fly then perhaps a larger drone would be better, with the understanding, that there are many places where the laws prohibit flying larger drones near people and public places.

@@DroneViewsMedia Don't let a BS "test" like this sway you. We've had the EVO II in 60+ mile an hour winds, and successfully mapped in 42/G51. A real test would involve a constant large volume fan indoors, all UA equidistant on a marked line, no human factor/element involved, and certainly no pre-conceived, designed outcome that any experienced pilot will recognize. We are currently evaluating Nano's and Lite's through an actual, objective, previously applied method and will report the results on Autel, DJI, and other FB pages.

@@DouglasSpottedEagle I have seen the Nano plus flying in person, put it up against my Mini 2, and it literally was night and day with regards to wind resistance. It's a shame, I really liked the camera, but no way could I fly a drone that struggles this bad. There's also been so many videos uploaded demonstrating this fact. I'll wait for DJI to see what they have coming

Great job with a true FactCheck on wind Sr! Mini 2 has superior motors as witnessed in speed. Next I’d be interested in seeing a payload test as I’ve seen 8 oz carried by the mini 2. My overall impression of the Autel Nano Is superior camera to the Mini 2 but everything else (aside from avoidance) being sub part to Mini 1.

That didn't show how a real test in real wind will deal with it. I now the mini 2 will do better but Do a real test not a fake windblower.

Good video showing what a lot of us have already learned via various YT reviews/reports that the new Autel Nano/Nano+ drones are CRAP. (FWIW, I'm a Evo 1 owner) This inability to handle winds has been shown to likely cause fly-aways in even moderate wind conditions. Some have speculated that this will be fixed with a 'firmware update'. That is not likely, as this looks to be a design flaw ... no firware update will solve this. I don't own a Mini 2, but perhaps, after DJI launches the Mini 3, we will be able to score a 'deal' on a Mini 2 flymore pkg. Thanks for sharing your findings. You should post the URL for this video to the Autel Facebook group so that some of the disbelievers can see the evidence. Cheers.

Nano + sorry for your loss. Makes a great chain saw. Wow that was an amazing way to test a very expensive drone.....it's a no go.

besides it has a problem with the power of the propellers, I think there is also a problem with the aerodynamic shape if I had to examine the two drones in a real and professional wind tunnel I would notice all the defects even on the corners.

I live at the beach so I always have higher winds . Perhaps as nice as the camera is, it won’t survive my winds with the lesser speeds . :(

Because of the latest news from Autel about bending to the whim of reviewers and unlocking the original speed settings... My guess is that the Motors on the Nano are underpowered (the almighty weight issue) and forcing them to max out will only result in premature motor failure. I can see it now... Autel Nano falls from the sky in Sport Mode ? or ... High winds blow out the flame of the Autel Nano ?

Maybe I missed something. At the 1:28 video mark you used a DJI controller to stop the props on the crashed Autel. Please explain this.

The dji remote is sitting beside the autel remote. You can hear in the video the autel app talking. I was more worried about stopping the props then getting video of me doing it

OMG it looks like I won’t be taking my nano plus out in the wind at all I’ll stick to my mini two. I’m expecting delivery any day now oh my nano plus but then again all of these videos are done in sub minus temperatures I hope it feels well in Australian conditions.

I always knew the mini 2 was not a punk but your test just proved it ! Great video and i hope the new Autel mini owners are aware of the possibility that they could lose the drone in a moderate gust of wind.

Pretty conclusive

Sure did not like what I saw, was leaning toward a new Nano but now reconsidering .Love my other Autel drones.

Good demonstration. Hard to argue on behalf of the Nano. The Mini 2 obviously can handle the wind much better. Thanks for this

The body of the nano is made with the cheapest plastic ever that's why it's no good in wind as you see plenty of proof in this video.

Actually a bad test... I'm sure a wind tunnel would be a better test where the wind strength can be accurately calibrated. You have to be fair to both... I have dji mini...
