Ulanzi MT40 Wireless Bluetooth Extendable Grip - Better than Sony GP-VBT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip?

Фильм және анимация

I was looking for a small grip with remote controls when the Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip got my attention. However, I always do my research before making any purchase and the Ulanzi MT40 Wireless Bluetooth Extendable Grip seemed like a better value that also had better features. Could it be better for my use case and working with the Sony RX100 Mark 7. Check out this video to see what I found out so far.

Thanks for the comment. I used it again yesterday and remarked to my wife how much I liked it. The remote makes firing the shutter for both photos or videos so much easier even when mounted on the stick, let alone when used remotely. And the feet means you can conveniently set the rig aside, standing up, between adjustments to the subject. Best of all it’s it’s compact size. Great investment.

I got this one and first checked the phone Galaxy s22 and connected automatically with the phone Bluetooth without pressing 2 buttons(video and C1 buttons. it works with the phone camera(photo and video with one button), but no zooming. I have 3-4 video apps and filmic pro is not working. I will check it later. I just looking for a video who already set up. I will check how it will connect and works with my Canon M50. I have a cheap selfie stick and work like the same. I bought this one for the canon camera mostly. For my phone, I have 2 gimbals. Thanks for review

Ulanzi make several of these with a ball type head so that you rotate them to any position....MT-44 for one

@@brighton1950 So I actually checked the MT 44 and it is not an upgrade to the MT 40. The latter is a handgrup with a bluetooth remote, whereas the MT 44 (while having the ball head) has no remote. Could you tell me what the micro USB is used for? My Sony RX100 M3 does not have Bluetooth and I am wondering if that micro USB could be a Bluetooth receiver and my Sony camera can connect to it wirelessly and I can control the camera with this grip. Thank you.

It is used for charging the remote. As far as I know that is it.

Very much doubt it. Ulanzi product page does not say so, and I did not try.

Noted. I noticed the same when I was editing it but figured that it was not meant to be cinematic and I wasn’t going to shoot it over again. So, aside from that did you find the video useful?

Спасибо, не знаю, о чем вы. Bluetooth включен, и он не увеличивает количество камер, к которым может одновременно подключаться рукоятка. (Надеюсь, Google переводчик работает...) --- Thanks, not sure what is your point. Bluetooth is on and it does not increase the number of cameras the grip can connect to at the same time. (Hope Google translate works ...)
