Not sure. Best to check with Dealertool in the UK.

@@GrumpyGoat Thank you.
Glad you finally managed to sort the issues. Odd to have the CanBus controller and horn go down at the same time. My sound bomb started making a feeble wheezing noise and I found the tube had detached from the compressor. Easy fix, fortunately.
@@welldc TBH I am not 1000% sure that the SoundBomb was bad but in my case there was no disconnect of the air hose. That was the first thing I checked. Anyway it’s all good now.

@@rts3613 Don’t recall what it was. That doesn’t sound familiar. I’ll have to watch the video myself. 😂

The 24's are really nice, but you can now get 21's and 22's for 9500-11500 and leftover 23's for 13500-14500.
My headset doesn’t use 3.5mm jacks 😢
Worth it to upgrade to one that does, even if you're not motovlogging. You can get better speakers for music with 3.5 mm jacks.
I’ve decided to add a small dji mic (already own) near my intercom speakers in helmet… so it can record both my voice & speakers. Kind of a “cheat” method.

Thanks for the review. I bought another model on Ebay but it didn't work at all. Was looking into these but they are expensive here in Sweden. But cheaper than new gloves... Have you found anything better?
@@j0akim123 Not yet. May revisit this next winter. On one old glove I have, one thumb works perfectly but it seems to be hit or miss with these.
Sorry to hear you are still suffering from the passage of Beryl, I was going to ask but didn’t. Any info you provide in the video will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. I will remember this. And since I typed my last response, electricity was returned to my house ... after over 6 days!
Hello Mr. Goat. I would really like the video on why you chose that camera. I’m thinking of changing my 2 GoPro that I have, 9 and 10. I do not vlog or have a YT channel but I have been a bit disappointed with the GoPros shutting down on me and the biggest problem I have is getting the footage over to my phone or iPad through the app. Just takes forever and syncing them is a pain.
@@richardclarke8117 Thanks Richard. I will do that video and although I do not use iPad I will try and include getting the footage of the action camera and into mass storage or the computer for editing. The review would be directed at the average non photographer user. I have a couple other important videos coming up though so I’ll have to see what the workflow allows. Right now in Houston I have no electricity following Hurricane Beryl. 😡
I have just bought one of these helmets too! I've found that if you put the helmet on with the chin bar raised that solves the glasses problem. You don't have to remove your glasses when you put the helmet on like that because it's more like the helmet going on from the back rather than down from the top. You don't have to try and get the glasses slotted in from the front. Much easier! Give it a try!
Thanks, I will. I thought about that actually - using the thumbs to pull the sides apart and down over the head, but not with the glasses on.
I just put new tires on and now I have a bad vibrations and it gets worse the faster I go.
That could be the wheel being out of balance. The wobble I refer to in this video tends to be a resonance issue at a certain frequency / speed of rotation. In your case yours is increasing with speed as would be the case with an out-of-balance wheel.
@@GrumpyGoat they wanted to put in rubber beads as balancers I think that’s the issue probably to many and I don’t think it works as good for high speed vehicle
@@aretools I have never used any sort of dynamic balancers so cannot really comment on their efficacy. I do know that wheel weights work so might be a good idea to remount and rebalance the wheel using conventional stick-on weights.
Mr. Goat I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain I too hate absolutely hate losing things it niggles at me for a very long time. I was watching the video and searching the gas station on my screen tryin to find it LOL. I guess this also confirms my opinions of Tank Bags, I don't like them and having that extra step to fill gas is something I never really thought about, which is odd that I didn't think about it before. But, yes I don't think I will be getting one. Never ridden an RS before but if its anything like my GSA the smiles you get riding it means you won't be selling it anytime soon unless the new bike gives greater SMILES. Thanks for sharing this video. PS love the CANADIAN Flags on the bike!!!
@@richardclarke8117 Thanks for the great comment and for looking in the gas station. I was doing the same as I was editing the video. 😁 I do like tanks bags for the easy access they afford (especially on long distance trips where tolls or passports and such are involved) but they are a pain when it is time to gas up.
I have an 850 sport, and i did the same swaping the unmarked fittings ,worked well.
Just found your channel - great to see you on the bike, I've just bought one myself (2015 Sport SE) and love it, but it's taking some getting used to since my last bike was a GSX-R750! Grumpy don't mind me saying this but in my opinion losing or misplacing things is a sign not only of inattentiveness but of inattentiveness as a consequence of ageing. Am I being ageist? But only two weeks back I rode off with my spectacles resting on my tail bag; currently wearing a new pair at great expense; but hey I do have a decade or two on you; but let me warn you, it only gets worse my friend.
I agree that it is a sign of inattentiveness, and most likely due to aging ... or is it because our brains are so cluttered with all the bits of wisdom gathered over the years, that it takes a while to wade through to get to the present. 😉 So far I am not so bad, but I am keeping an eye on it. As for losing stuff ... I was always like that even when younger.
Went 7500 kms from calgary alberta down the PCH and back just over the past 16 days....sunny snd blue and hot....rode 2-up and thr RS was awesome !!!!!!!
@@sergecomeau6015 That’s great. I never traveled that far 2 up but I have gone 500 miles round trip with my wife and she liked it. She prefers the RS for touring on the motorcycle, and she is not a motorcycle lover as such. So that is saying a lot.
I think you are making the right move to keep both bikes at their age. As you know the BMW does not take easily to changes mid corner but you can do it. What impresses me most is how planted and solid it feels once you choose your line.
@@d1daveoh It certainly tracks like it’s on rails and behaves a bit like a train, that’s for sure. When you ride two bikes that are very different back to back, these differences become even more obvious. Thanks for the comment.

Great videos Grumpy Goat. What mic are you using in this video. I tried a cheap Amazon lavalier mic on one of my videos and the audio was garbage. Thanks in advance.
@@timetomoto I believe it is a Rode Lavalier Go but can’t be 100% sure. There are lots of good microphones on Amazon as well. Purple Panda lav mics are also popular as are PowerDewise lav mics.

@@timetomoto Only because I upgraded the lav mic to a more professional one. This Saramonic is excellent and I had good customer service from then on the previous one as well.
I have never seen an add on screen positioning like that before , nice review
If you come across this, no way should you use this on your Tiger. The extra 1mm thickness over crushes the rubber grommet and will lead to fractures to the screen. Unfortunately I know this for a fact.
Thanks for the comment, but I am not sure what you are referring to. This GPS mount is thinner than the stock bar that is used to raise/lower the windshield, and there is no over-crushing of any grommet on my bike. To date there have been no fractures to my screen and this modification has been on the bike for over 4000 miles.
@@GrumpyGoat It only took a couple of weeks of off road riding and the extra weight and movement has caused fracturing around the mounting holes. You are better off spending the extra to get a better mount.
@@roblewis3834 I don’t doubt that. If I were to do any serious off-road riding I’d probably get something like an Evotech mount which spreads the load much better. Of also probably remove the GPS as well as they are probably not really designed for that level of abuse.
"I thought I was being slick" minute 1:18. Classic! How many times in the past have I had this same thought. Thanks for the video
So here I am faced with a similar problem, the rubber breaking off. I am considering these 'aftermarket' DNA replacements. I should have known, the king of the 2016 RS on KZread would have a video. Thanks man. I may have to reach out to you in the future with questions. You're the man for making these videos.
I found your comment on Amazon and a very good video, just a few more questions. Do you recommend the helmet? On the highway it doesn't vibrate with your gut? Do you recommend ordering a larger size? Thank you
I can say that I do recommend the helmet, as long as you manage your expectations. There are worse and there are better helmets out there but you have to also consider price. Regarding use on the highway ... it depends on many things - whether the visor is used, whether the bike's windshield is good to begin with, how fast you're going, etc. I would not use it with the visor on the highway for anything more than an hour maximum, and that's with a good windscreen. All things being equal this is not as good on the highway as my Shoei RF1400. It also does not flow as much air as that helmet, but that does not say that the Scorpion is a bad helmet - just not as good as the Shoei. It is probably true to size. Install speakers and it seems to get more snug but still doable. I have an XL and at 23.75" circumference I am at the limit. Keep watching for a follow-up after the helmet is fully broken in. Then I will have my final thoughts and recommendations.
Thanks for sharing our ES720 CPAP BACKUP BATTERY!🥳
Very interesting. What process are you using now in 2024 to wash your bike?
The process I have been using for over 50 years, and the one that works. Bucket and sponge with chamois cloth to dry, although for motorcycles the air dryer is much better. Occasionally I use the power washer. I still have S100 which I spray on the rims and tires in place of Simple Green.
@@GrumpyGoat what product do you use as a soap for the bucket wash?
@@stockstunna Standard car wash like Turtlewax Car Wash or Meguiar's Car Wash. For the foam cannon I use Chemical Guys Foam Cannon detergent or whatever there is in the store.
@@GrumpyGoat I don't have a foam gun. Do you think I will be ok just with the 2 bucket system and turtlewax? Thanks for responding, your experience is valued.

Good video and when I bring my motorbike over to the US from the UK for 2months ish I will certainly be getting that battery delivered when I first arrive.
I think dealers love an unbalanced tire. They can’t sell them, if you’re not wearing through them faster.
ever try to repurpose headphone drivers. say, sony etc.
No I have not.
I’ve exchanged the original horn by a BMW 520 car horn. There are two on the car, I choose the low tone. It was a little fiddling to fit it in, but worth the effort. It sounds a lot better than the bike horn. And all set for around 15 euros.
Is the shoei official visor better after 5 months?
Yes it is. I think it is better in terms of darkening after any amount of time. But it is more than twice as expensive as the knock of shield, so maybe that is better value. “Better” is subjective.
@GrumpyGoat ok. Thanks. I'll try the knock off for now. After a year, it would be interesting to see how the shoei holds up compared to 1 year of the knock off
That's a good video for maintenance!

I know where the battery is. 😏Thanks for the comment, though. 🤨 BTW I checked your channel to see if I could find any tips and came up short. 🤔
Grumpy can I mention a fourth con? I'll take that as a yes. If I recall you mounted your "Go Pro" whatever on the Shoei chin, correct me if I am mistaken. Can't see you mounting a camera to this chin with all those vents. Can't see it being mounted to the peak as it probably isn't solid enough to support a camera. The sides of the helmet appeared to be less than smooth so as a vlogger ok video maker, where will you mount the camera?
That is a very good comment, and is a problem I am yet to resolve, although I don't see it as a con since the issue is the same for any helmet. Chin Mounts (the company) makes a mount that fits over the chin vent, and which allows you to reach behind the mount to open and close the vent. The only problem is the mount is stuck to either side of the vent by double-sided tape which I am skeptical will hold the weight of the action camera. There are other clamp-over options as well, but I don't like these as they interfere with the closing of the face shield. Last resort is what I have used in the past several helmets, and that is Sugru moldable glue to stick a mount to the side of the helmet just past the front vent area. With Sugru the contour of the helmet does not matter. Mounting on the peak is a non-starter for the reason you mentioned, *plus* it means that you can't remove the peak for long distance riding if you want to shoot video (and there are other reasons too).
Had a conversation with the folks at Barkbusters. Here is their response to my query about availability for 2024 Tiger RP guards. Seems nobody has them in stock yet. “Unfortunately, due to the unique size of handlebars triumph decided to use on the 2024 Tiger 900 we couldn’t get any of our other hardware to fit. Thus, we had to create a new bike specific hardware kit BHG-120 this kit was made available to order on the 23rd of May 2024.”
Thanks for sharing that information. 👍
Can you just help me ? Which action camera sounds better in the helmet after using the mic adapter (on both cameras) ? I mean which camera sounds better on motovlogging(in helmet ) setup?
The GoPro. GoPros audio sounds better than most action cameras, in my experience.
@@GrumpyGoat thanks a lot .🙋
"S" means Service, "C" means Commercial according to Rotella website. All of the "C" Rotella's exceed the "S" specifications. If the oil says MA2, and MA2 is compatible with your motorcycle OEM/owners manual, then not only is the T6 safe, because it is a "C" rating for commercial gas and Diesel engines with the MA2 rating, the T6 will be superior to many motorcycle only oils. As always, read the labels.
Thanks for the comment.
I made that mistake and drilled it has now just cost me £1600 to repair.
Details? Why £1600 to repair?
Good info thanks
Thanks for the tips. $80 for a strap is quite expensive, indeed. The best security I'm sure is to check your luggage into your room when you arrive in town.
You are absolutely correct on the best security, of course. However, regardless of price, lockable straps are not intended to secure your luggage (and its contents) to the bike when you are away for an extended time, and I mentioned that in the video. They are only for securing it to the bike while you are in transit, e.g. when in a restaurant where the bike is out of line of sight, or while you're in the grocery store picking up the fixings for supper.
Just started watching your videos
