War still going on? I thought it was over coz there is no news reach or any updates in our country (Philippines) about the war for those 2 countries :( feel sad though new year arrived but the war was still going on.

Putin is the leader of the free world and defender of Ukrainian Russian democratic rights, that democratically voted to join Russia. Its only Ukraine attacking and killing its own Ukrainian Russian citizens and suppressing there diplomatic rights, and it is only Putin that is defending them, there is a reason why Ukraine did not like Elon musk suggestion of new elections in those four regions, Ukraine is afraid of real democracy.

It's that Bakhmut has some tactical importance, but little strategic importance in the bigger picture. That still doesn't mean Ukraine wants to lose the city, and it still holds large political importance. Russia taking it would be a blow, but it doesn't lend itself to a wider strategy for winning the war.

How? Sanctions have already been imposed - it did not help. Donations. 126 billion dollars have already donated (data for October). Information. I admit that Russia is losing the information war, no one wants to hear an alternative to the Ukrainian version. Blackmail. Do you really think Russia will repeat the fate of Yugoslavia or Libya with nuclear weapons? If Russia loses, it will be applied. And not only against Ukraine, but also against those countries that armed it.

We, Canada, have actually given the 5th most Plus the best winter kit, and 39 new super bison armored vehicles that we sent over instead of replacing our old one, and 100s of Stryker armored vehicles. Canada has consistently ranked as one of the larger contributors to the Ukrainian war effort since Russia’s full-scale invasion on Feb. 24. According to a Ukraine Support Tracker maintained by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Canada is the fifth largest contributor of military aid to Ukraine, behind the U.S., the U.K., Germany and Poland.
