For your eligibility? Yes, but you'd need to check first if you even need UKFP as many EU graduates are directly eligible for full GMC registration.

Hello! quick question; The last 2024 UKFP guideline state that the deadline of qualification from med school was 3rd October however they want a PLAB1 booking confirmation by 31st August. How can one get the booking confirmation before qualifying as you cannot open a GMC online account without qualifying?

The guidance says you must graduate from medical school by Aug 31st if you're required to take PLAB.

Yes, if you'd otherwise cleared your English proficiency exam as well.

I do not understand some points. "Must have a valid medical degree to be eligible for UKFP", but in order to have a valid medical degree, we must complete the internship. Upon completion , we shall then obtain the medical degree. However, if we have done the internship, we are not eligible for UKFP. It is a puzzle.

Dear Doctor Ibrahim, I will be graduating in March 2022. I am planning to apply for UKFP 2023. Right now, my plan is to finish OET by May, and PLAB and PLAB 2 before November 2022 because in November I will be starting internship in my country. If luckily I get selected for UKFP, I can skip internship in my country and join UKFP. Do you think it is capable to finish OET, PLAB 1 and PLAB 2 within this 6 months period (in the window between May to November)? Thank you in advance!

2021 application round is over. So, it is not available. For 2022 application there will be new document and new eligibility guidance. Keep an eye on the UKFPO website.

My relative completed undergraduate Medical studies in Ukraine and immediately begun his masters degree in public health nutrition currently at a UK. He did not do any medical exam or housemanship/internship in Nigeria b4 traveling to UK to study Masters in public health nutrition. So my question is ; - Since he will complete his masters program in public health nutr on August 2022, what type of UK visa does he need to have in order to do his internship program after his study visa expires by February 2023 latest? - he will do his PLAB 1 Exam next year February 2023. He has done his Ielts test. Pls is it still possible for him to go ahead and apply mid-2023 for eligibility criteria and the foundation year program without PLAB 2 exam?

We do have an internship year (6TH year ) but it’s not 12 month it’s only 35 weeks , what does mean , should we apply for FY1 or FY2 ?

Hi! I transferred to another university in my 4th year both are WDOMS and WHO recognized. My new university gave me the transcript mentioning that I have passed and completed the 360 credits. Will it be a problem for GMC registration? I heard that GMC may not give the registration even after passing PLAB exams for transfer students!

You just need to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the video and whatever is on UKFP's website.

Is it practical (and possible) for doctors from Bangladesh to skip the internship and directly apply for UKFP? If so, can this pose any issues in the future considering you only get full BMDC registration after completing the internship?

Hello Sir, I will graduate from my university in July 2024, and aiming to get into FP2025, so I need to take PLAB 1 at last by November 2024, I can only book PLAB 1 after July, by then most probably all the slots will be booked. Hi, I have currently graduated from Russia in 2022and looking forward to ukfp …have booked my oet next month but I guess next slot for plab seats are only 2024 only… would it be problem if I have a 2yr gap ….like I could only join ukfp as possible as in 2025?. My timeline is more or less the same as Nazir. I'll write IELTS in December 2021. I'll get my PMQ pass results(graduation) in June 2022(and I am assuming only then I can open a GMC account). Will I be able to seat for PLABs next year? Taking into consideration that they are about to open the 2022 seats in a few days.

Keep your English proficiency exam done and ready, make a GMC online account, and keep checking for seats.

The eligibility application for the August start would be the year before, so you would need to apply for that period in order to start the next year. Make sure you are eligible for provisional registration though, otherwise you cannot apply for UKFP.

Internship is a term widely used around the world for a period of 'training' right after you graduate. There is internship is medicine, internship in accounting, banking etc. So by definition, internship is a period of 'training'. Medical internship in the UK is called Foundation Training which is delivered via UK Foundation Programme. Hope that makes sense.

If the final exams will be held from May to July 2022 and no need to take plab test , can i apply for ukfp 2022 application which will open in 2021

There is no guarantee. It is a competitive process, but you won't be deducted if you are an IMG or not a British national. It's based on your application.

If you don't meet the eligibility criteria, you'd be ineligible. You cannot put a percentage on this because it is not measurable scale.

Iam student of MBBS at Chinese university and since corona breakout they are not calling us back.and it affects our primary clinical rotations .plz tell me if there's any route to be eligible for ukfpo.😥😣
